@@Dizzeke I’m saying someone with their current rig can run offline raids with the same settings as the video to gather a baseline. Then, if they choose to upgrade to the listed specs of the video, they have a rough idea of what performance gains they can expect compared to their current rig. Therefore, this still provides a baseline to compare to, despite offline raids not being perfectly consistent. Not a perfect testing methodology compared to dedicated benchmarks, but certainly workable when it comes to making purchase/upgrade decisions.

Reread the point I'm making about why using a video like this with specific hardware/settings as a REFERENCE POINT compared to your OWN OFFLINE RAIDS at SIMILAR SETTINGS could be helpful in making purchasing/upgrade decisions, even if a bottleneck is present. You seem a bit dense though, so I can dumb this down to a simple math formula (if you can even grasp that). I have a 12700k and went from a GTX 970 to a RTX 4080, and this video was VERY helpful in showing how my high end CPU paired with a 970 performs with MAX SETTINGS IN OFFLINE RAIDS* would compare to a high end CPU paired with a 4080 performs with MAX SETTINGS IN OFFLINE RAIDS* at both a HIGHER RESOLUTION** (* and ** are "constants", or "things that remain the same through multiple tests". Remember those for later!). Let's say that the build with a GTX 970 is variable "x", and "x" = 120FPS @ 1080p in EFT. And "y" is the SAME BUILD with a RTX 4080 instead, and "y" = 240FPS @ 1080p in EFT. Now (bear with me, this part's a doozy), if "x" - "y" = 120FPS @ 1080p in EFT (don't worry, I did the math for you), then we can see that the GPU in "x" performs half as well as the GPU in "y". But remember those constants? If those remain the same across all tests (which they are, by virtue of being labeled as a "constant"), then we can safely assume that (again) we would see a performance increase of 120FPS at 1080p in EFT @ 1080p. AND (this is the fun part), if we were to swap variable "x" with "a" representing a GTX 970 @ 4K, and swap variable "y" with "b" representing a RTX 4080 @ 4K, then we could solve for the performance difference between the GTX 970 @ 4K as well as the RTX 4080 @ 4K with (and only when) ALL OTHER FACTORS REMAINING CONSTANT, just like we did for the 1080p formula (Wow, congratulations! You learned something today!). All of that being said, the reason any of this matter is because the GPU is the PRIMARY and ONLY factor that allows for ANY rendering to even take place on your screen in the first place, whether a game is CPU bound or not (duh). Look at CS2, Valorant, WoW, LoL or any other CPU bound game. Do you absolutely need to play at +1000FPS in those titles? Definitely not. Is there still a GPU bottleneck despite being a much lighter CPU bound load compared to sim games like EFT? Absolutely, although exponentially smaller and nearly negligible. And if you care about things like high framerates for a competitive advantage or higher resolution for clarity and visibility in what is a hardcore FPS extraction shooter, then the first part you must consider is the GPU and specs, and having a REFERENCE POINT TO HOW THAT PART PERFORMS is great to have when doing your research and ultimately making a multi-hundred $ purchase. Now, can someone still compare the CPU performance of the CPU in this video to their own CPU if they have the same GPU? YES (just change the variable in the previous formula, you're welcome). Would it be a valid reason to make a purchase/upgrade decision? That's for them to find out. Like I said before, is this a scientific approach to comparing "data"? NO. Is this a perfect approach? OBVIOUSLY NOT. But instead of arguing about why you think this isn't valid "bEcAuSe It'S oFfLiNe", think (if you can) for more than 5 minutes as to why ANY of these benchmarking videos exist in the first place rather than throwing around the term "bottleneck" like you just learned what it means. And while you're at it, research why benchmarks exist in the first place and you may learn a thing or two about why there is, in fact, validity in a reproduceable GPU-focused benchmark, even if it's done through a CPU bound game like EFT. "GeT iT yEt? 🤡"

Something in the settings is killing the FrameTime, in all resolutions. If adjusted it should provide better FPS.

I don't think it's worth setting the graphics settings to ultra in this game. Very fast TTK, the game is not optimized, there are desynchronizations, the game is very dark, it is very easy to die in it in general, even with a powerful computer I would not play a multiplayer hardcore survival game, also 4k for this game is also meaningless, 2k format is enough. And at the expense of components it is cool, thanks for the information.

Don’t use the dlss. It’s buggy. Tarkov gets 100+ fps on my 5800x3d. 32gb 3600. 3070. Game is fine when it cooperates properly.

I’ll have to test it myself when my i9-13900k gets here, but my 9700k and 4080 get around 100-120 fps average across most maps, both cpu and gpu not running even close to 100% Seeing that in this video he’s getting the same FPS as me and my friends i7-13700k + 3080 gets the same fps it’s most likely a game engine bottleneck and nothing to do with the cpu, as 30% usage is nothing close to a bottleneck unless a single core is bouncing off of 100% somewhere.
