Jansno x50 v2, 17amp range test - in even WORSE conditions than the 14amp test

I didn't think it was possible but I got even WORSE conditions for this test. Another storm was rolling in so I had like 30mph headwinds for most of it. Fast forward to 1:16 if you just want to see the conclusions. Also I have some tire choices at the end and would like your input.
Total range with the 17amp and the 14amp(31amps)
64.6km - 39.79mi with proper odometer calibration this is 10% TOO LOW it's
71.1km - 43.7mi
This is probably the MINIMUM you will get as both tests were done ironically with damn storms moving in on the weekend. When I get my street tires maybe I'll do another round to see if the less rolling resistance adds mileage. If you notice as soon as I get out of downtown the wind picks up as there aren't as many buildings blocking it.

IMPORTANT: I've just done a calibration test on my odometer and at 22.8 wheel diameter the speed is more accurate but the odometer is around 10% TOO LOW. The true range for this battery in this test is 37.5 km. I'm going to do an odometer and speed calibration video coming soon. I found some settings in the display that will make both accurate. I did a quick range test with the big boat street tires on there and got 38.6km with the 10% speedometer error and 42.4km true. The wind was similar, maybe a bit less, and it seems the big boat street tires with the lower rolling resistance increased range a bit.

Yep there swappable. When one runs out just pop the other one in there.

Hi, do you still get 1100w peak by putting P14@ 22 using the 17ah battery ? how do you calculate this !~

volts x amps = watts. On a fully charged battery it will pull from 54.6 to around the 52 volt mark which is 1144 watts. Now obviously it's going to go down fairly quickly. If you want to calculate for a nominal voltage of 48 volts with voltage sag it would be 1056 watts. It all depends what the voltage sags to times the amps.

1:05 that traffic light is triggered by electric current so try approaching it hitting your throttle slightly like on/off motions till it changes, works for me.

Got them last friday! i used the old tubes with(flat out ) alrerady in it! I realy like the smooth ride and it goes a bit faster. Combined with 10 oz of flat out in each tube. They are Very quiet , It was easy to put them on. They arrived in a box ,folded in a quarter .....4 ply in the Bead ! but ok.

Yeah same here, folded in 4 is fine, folded in 20 is a problem. Maybe I'll try the street slicks next time but for the first set of street tires I went with the amazon deal. I'll put them on maybe this weekend depending on the weather.

Hey man ! Another great video ! What do you think about a 52V battery in this baby ? is it faisable ? Edit : I'm looking for more range, not speed as it's already super fast in my opinion

It is. However the display has no 52v setting, so the battery bars will be off. You could either buy a new display or just go off the voltage which is more accurate anyway. Seems like a standard 5 pin display setup. Don't order a Bafang controller display they have a slightly different setup.

@@mariuscantona As long as the battery plate ends in a XT60 connection which the controller takes you're good. Maybe per cost/capacity. A 20amp 52v battery as long as it fits would do you well. I'm trying to figure out what battery plate this is so you could just plop another battery on there without rewiring a new battery plate. I've seen this type of battery on other bikes and I know it's a Hai Long. But it almost looks like a hybrid of a Hai Long 1 and a Hai Long 1-2. It's weird. It's obviously a new design. I think the EUY moped bike uses it as well and they have a 25amp 48v battery on their bike. So it's floating around out there. I guess I could email Jansno and see if they tell me but usually they don't as they want you to buy their batteries not shop around for others. I'll give it a shot.

Yep great bike. Didn't like the X70's colours so I went with an X50 and just bought the 17amp battery as well as the 14amp battery it came with. Just pop the smaller in a backpack and I'm good to go.

Awesome bike but the 17amp extra battery is almost a necessity as the 14amp is a little dinky. With both batteries it's perfectly fine. Pretty damn fast bike even with the knobby tires on there.
