would recommend diversifying your exercises:-)!! understand about the cost/membership dilemma, but personally for fitness, for it to be sustainable, i think its always good to do different things, especially if its all activities you enjoy. also they target different fitness goals (gym: cardio, strength; yoga: flexibility, mental strength), so i think its worth keeping both exercise types in your life:-), and its a bit hard to quantify such joys in a monetary form

Really liked hearing your candid thoughts (for e.g. struggling with keeping/ending the yoga subscription, challenges with waking up early) because in it, I hear the echos of my own dilemmas. It makes me less alone, realising that we are all going through similar frustrations.

I think going to the gym just twice a week to do strength-training is sufficient. I manage to do 6-8 exercises in 45-60 mins, sometimes with cardio. I agree with the other comments that talk about diversifying the workouts. You can try not having a yoga package for a month or two and explore other things. Hiking on weekend mornings is one way to clock a lot of steps, breathe fresh air and explore new areas - for free! 😊

Keep the yoga - listening to you narrate the dilemma already sounded to me like you were trying to convince yourself against renewal purely from cost perspective but you also already knew yoga brings more intangible value. Go for it - you worked hard keeping to yoga classes last year, dont stop now. And to appeal to the rationale part - gym and yoga are 2 different things, you dont need to build cardio and strength then work on flexibility 😊

I see so much of myself in you it's kinda nuts - your questions and decisions were things that I have asked myself too and made decisions on when I was younger. I got that same lamp and I love it! I use it as a night light and it makes my room feel very cozy. On the exercise front, pls definitely try incorporating strength training as we (women) need to build up our muscle mass and bone density as much as we can before they start depleting and causing us other health complications later on in life. You might feel more comfortable in a women-only gym - I know there are a few places in SG that are popping up. On another note, I recommend oakandsand as a bedding brand! I have 5 of their bedsheets haha can you tell I love them? Try their tencell sheets, it's slightly cheaper than sojao and they come in a full set :)

I'm curious about what books you currently own. You seem to prefer minimalism, so it would be interesting to know more about what books you *do* choose to keep a copy of. 🤗

Yoga $100 per month, average 8-9 times a month. That translates to $11-$12.50 per session. While going to ActiveSG gym only cost $2.50 per entry. From economic point of view, that is expensive, considering one month yoga can buy you 4 months gym entry. It depends on what your priority is right now. If enjoying a balanced lifestyle is your priority now then do whatever makes you happy. But if building up financial is priority then the answer is obvious I guess.
