Looks epic 👍 Would imagine a thick walled bowl like that shouldn't get too hot and Long stem like churchwarden should give a pleasant cool snoke . Happy new year fella 💨💨

It looks superb, well done Ross! I have a Ropp that I have restored half way. The biggest issue is that the tenon threading has worn out. I have some ideas how to fix that but no time…and the bit is very crusted. I’d better get some of that Beeswax oil, I often find it hard to get a nice finish after cleaning with oil soap. Enjoy your Ropp and have a good week! Emil

Hi Emil, I wondered what would happen if the tenon thread was worn and no longer working. I thought about gluing it and shortening the shank but there must be a better way. Have a great week mate & many thanks for the message. Ross

Morning Ross, very nice pipe indeed. I had few of the regular size once and while they get slightly hot, its nothing significantly uncomfortable the a briar or falcon for that matter. They do impart some sweetness to the smoke and i used to enjoy flakes in them. Enjoy your smoke in good health, happy new year mate

@@ahmadsadikaljanabi Hi mate, thank you it’s a lovely size and very tactile in the hand. I’m looking forward to that sweetness they are known for. Thanks for the message, and best wishes for you & your family in 2025. Ross
