"Bridge Over Troubled Water" was "OUR" song. We married in 1970, 3 months after he returned home form the Vietnam war serving on the front lines as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. We met through mutual friends and started writing each other. It will always be our song and my favorite. We celebrate 50 years of marriage in July.

Dear Susan, you look dazzling tonight! You spoke from the heart and with great courage in sharing your feelings. When we have had to navigate life much of it on our own we do gain a higher level of independence. Its a two edged sword because there are daily or weekly moments when we can feel great loneliness too. Your joy in filming is something that is now an extension of yourself and for sure, do not let anyone try and take that or alter that. Its your passion and we all need something to be passionate about! We all need healthy boundaries esp about things that mean the most to us. Its not being selfish to have good self care. You learn and grow by doing your films and for the hundreds of ladies who follow you, you inspire us, you cheer us, you help us to not feel so alone in our struggles. You give service and I believe that is the greatest thing we can do in this life, give service to others. You have MUCH to give if you did decide to settle down and if you did find someone that was just right for you. You are so dead on that timing really does make or break many things. Been experiencing the same symptoms so I am going to go get some B12!!!... You asked us to share a favorite song, wow that is so fun but just tough as I have a bazillion songs that I love and each one makes me feel different things from lets get up and dance around the house to maybe a few tears... what song will I share .... hmmmmm loved Dave Clark Five, anyone remember them. Susan, I really do get irritated when someone states how they feel and what they are like as a individual then others take it further and add what THEY think you might be thinking about how other people think it feel. I really wish people would cultivate listening skills,we are all guilty at times of not hearing the "I" phrases that are used, I" is taking ownership of how you think or feel about yourself and situations. We also need to hear what isn't said. As you were sharing your story I could feel many of the things you were feeling. Never at any point did I feel that you were critical of women in relationships or others relationships. The only thing I saw was a woman that is trying to a her best life and looking back on how she has walked her path in the past and looking ahead and trying to determine what path she will go down in the future and where her footsteps will take her. In the end isn't that all any of us can do? We all need to realize that just like fingerprints are unique each of us are also ,and what we need varies from person to person as well and that not everyone is fortunate enough to have a significant other that supports them in their dreams and loves unconditionally. Be kind to each other and remember we each have our own path and journey. Susan I hope you find all the joy your heart can hold.

I love “Unchained Melody”. It makes me want to hold my husband close. He was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. It also reminds me of my sister and her husband dancing together, holding each other close. They are both deceased now but, this songs brings back loving memories. Funny/odd how this song can make me cry and smile at the same time. I now use Rosehip Seed Oil on your recommendation and would love to win a bottle of Watermelon seed oil. 🤞🏻 Thank you!!

John Lennon's "Imagine" really speaks to me! Love your videos and I also need to be very careful to take my B12. I am on a vegan plant-based eating plan so I need it. In my 20's I had a B12 deficiency and had to have B12 shots for 4 weeks I was so low. At that time I was eating eggs and meats every day. So glad I realized how harmful those things are.

The song I sing out loud when I need to get through a hard time is Bob Marley's Three Little Birds. "Don't worry bout a thing, cuz every little thing is gonna be alright". Times I remember when this song helped me keep moving forward were when I din't get a job I really wanted, when my daughter or son were very sick, I sang it to my little sweet dog when he was old and sick and I had to put him down, when my husband was in the ICU after his heart attack I would sing it in the car driving back and forth to see him. I can't count the times singing this song out loud (usually with tears streaming down my face), helped me keep moving forward through a difficult time. It's my favorite song for times like these.

Thanks for a snapshot of “not breathing.” Unfortunately, I suffocated for 30 years, but didn’t realize it. Sneaky situation, it was. One day, I woke up, got the hell out, and am now exhaling so large, that I have trouble keeping up with myself. So grateful now to be expanding my life daily! Oh Susan, I’m blinking back tears of joy, I’m so happy you love the watermelon seed oil too! I’ve called my sister to come over and take that picture of me dancing with joy! I hope all the other ladies come to love it too. It absorbs so quick and I can wear foundation over it. Takes down rosacea redness for both me and my twin sister and I love that it is such a balancing oil that is good for both dry and oily skins. I especially love putting it on my hair as an overnight treatment - my hair is tawny and the oil brings out all the sparks and colours. If I could keep only 3 skincare items it would be Vitamin C serum, Watermelon seed oil and SPF. I love your top, you look so fresh and pretty the colours suit you. Give sweet Desi a hug from me... I have no idea how long I’ve been subscribed but it must have been at least a year before Cooper died, perhaps even 2 years before. How I sobbed along with so many of us who adored Cooper...and then you saved sweet Desi, and it’s beautiful to see how confident Desi is these days. Darlene, I’m so happy you discovered Susan. My watermelon seed oil is from Sinuvalia but I can no longer find that brand so I have just bought Green Keratin’s Watermelon seed oil. If you want a high street version Holland and Barrett sell Kalahari oil for about a tenner - that is derived from wild watermelons and has the same benefits as watermelon seed oil. I hope you love it as much as I do.

I have a favorite song. Mine is “I Hope You Dance”, by the amazing Garth Brooks. It has a great message in the lyrics. Susan, I have to tell you what a talented woman you are. I love your videos! I’m enjoying them so much! You have such great taste. B12 is a daily thing for me and has been for several years. I’ve also started using your favorite facial oils. I’m just in love with them now. My skin is improving week by week. My heart hurt when you spoke about your ladies comments last week. Each of us has our issues for petes sake! I lost my husband nine months ago, and I am learning how to be on my own now for the first time in my life. Im a “young” seventy two years. Beautiful video! Love your new camera. I understood exactly what you were saying. I am married but I fiercely guard my independence...one day I may not be able to be...I have fairly severe RA mixed type. Today I drove to the city... shopping and visiting friend. I brought home dinner. My husband is off every other Friday... he enjoyed being home with the animals and I needed a day away. I love being able to do that. We were going to meet for dinner... but he asked I got take out from a fav restaurant in the city we drive to ... to do almost everything. It was a sunny beautiful day....I had a great day. He did too. Work is tiring at almost 62 even if you love your work... which is where he was today. It’s always a give and take ... the day may come when one of us needs “more give’ ... make since? Your skin is gorgeous! The watermelon seed oil is definitely working! I always wondered what made up that beautiful little Desi!! He’s so special. My favorite song for love is, "To Know Him is to Love Him" by the Teddy Bears in about l958. I was bearly a teenager, but I fell in love with that song. It took me about nineteen years to find the man that fit that song. One of lines in the song is "just to see him smile makes my life worthwhile" is so true today. We have been married going on 48 years. He is now bedridden with post polio syndrome, and still when I see his beautiful smile, it does make my life worthwhile. I love your videos, you calming voice, your sense of humor and common sense I do look at the world a bit differently.

Thanks for the b12 reminder! One of my favorites is "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks...the older I get, the more relevant it is.

You are such a beautiful and kind woman Sues. I admire you so much. The thing you said at the end about your last video with marriage really touched my heart. I agree about the “science” big channels. My dermatologist had me on retin a for a year. Slow and steady build up of strength. My skin actually looked worse at the end of the year. It looked like an old shoe. 😂 Now I use milder retinols and oils and now I’m actually comfortable leaving the house without foundation. Thought I’d never say that. The curology thing made me laugh. My favorite song. Nothing compares to you, Shinad O Connor. Desi always makes me smile. He’s a special little guy. Love to both of you.❤️

Hi Susan, I just recently subscribed to your channel and enjoy you more and more each day. I can honestly say in just a matter of weeks my outlook on life has changed because of you. I am witnessing a beautiful woman who is so intelligent and caring and has such a zest for life. I have pulled my best clothes to the front of my closet to dress well everyday, purchased Rosehip Seed Oil from Sephora and am back to my skincare and makeup routine. I am slowly coming out of my depression and even purchased Kind bars so I can lose my isolation weight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You will never know the impact you have already had on my life. You are truly a blessed woman and I am so thankful you are sharing your time with us.

"Nowhere fast" from Fire Inc. my very favourite of all 🎶 I can really relate to what is said in this video about independency in relationships. Not many people are willing to accept other's personality, taste, goals, priorities and fredom...and that's sad because all that is what makes us...is what we are...so if people loves us how can they not accept us?... that's why I'm a happy single 47, maybe someday someone will actually see me and accept all of me...but if not, I'm ok with that. I am a new subscriber but I so enjoy watching your videos. My favorite song is "I Won't Let Go" by Rascal Flatt. It was popular when my grandson was born. He was born with spina bifida and a life threatening heart complication. He is 11 years old now and doing well, but every time I hear that song I think of him. I call it "Carter's Song."
