My January Graphic Journal Tour (2025 Challenge)
I’m committing to creating 1 Graphic Journal per month for the whole of 2025, and this is the first tour of the year! In this 47-minute video, I take you page by page through my January journal, sharing the stories, memories, and drawing techniques behind each sketch.
What’s inside?
• The art supplies I used (including a multicolor pencil and a blue marker-details below!)
• A watercolor effect I experimented with by embracing “mistakes” to create beautiful textures
• A special side quest into lesbian history-inspired by a drawing I made of the poetess Sappho at the Capitoline Museums in Rome, reflecting on her cultural and poetic legacy
