Many thanks, Kristina, for introducing me to Rosie Papeterie. I happen to live in Montreal and have been looking for a Canadian stationery store, but to no avail - so much the better, it's from Quebec! I had to exchange e-mails with C&P Customer Service for several hours yesterday to receive a meagre refund of about $3! I was truly disappointed with C&P, as I only bought my first subscription box last Thursday. Hearing their response to your concerns about a planner of such price reinforced my impression that their Customer Service is not what I expected from this company. You are absolutely right about the front air pocket on your planner, it was the first thing I noticed and it would bother me too. Rosie Papeterie is amazing!!! I've had u think 2 orders now and she's just the best! The Line is also canadian and has less but they ship from Montreal and have some nice dashboards.

You don’t have extremely high expectations. Your expectations sound reasonable. The price of this CP planner demands that it be high quality. I did want to get this planner in Ash and your experience does make me nervous about it. CP’s customer service response didn’t sound helpful. But I’m happy you were able to exchange it.

I wouldn't be able to get past the imperfections in that cover. I've purchased my last two planner covers from Notiq. I have three at this point, and love all 3. My everyday planner is the Saffiano Ringless Vegan Agenda Cover in Stone Gray(Size Demi - Fits Half-Letter). I purchased it in October 2021, and it still looks great! This year I purchased the Croco RINGLESS Agenda Cover in black (Size Demi/Fits Half-Letter) for work, and it looks great too. Notiq has been my go-to for planner covers because of the quality and selection choices (sizes, colors, etc.)

I have the exact same C&P planner as you and mine shows it more on the back of the planner fortunately. I just bought a second one in Ash because I loved the color so much. This planner has less air pockets but the corner bends up and always catches my eye right away. I'm trying to just go with it but understand how it can be quite distracting. Love your set up and you planner truly looks gorgeous when laying flat/open. Great video.

Your expectations are not too high and I am disappointed in C&P’s response. I would have responded asking for a personal response from Ashley the owner attesting that she would be ok with a planner that looked like yours?

That is the first thing I noticed when you first opened the parcel, and it would bother me, too, at this price. C & P's answer Is actually disappointing and surprising; they should have offered to swap for a less "deformed" one; surely, they can compare the looks in their stock. I had my eyes on this coloured binder for the same reasons you had (I loved your Filofax, but having the deco pockets on the right bothered me so much!!). I think I may go for the chocolate Mortem instead, even if not my first choice.

That would bother me too much. While the color is amazing, it would bother me too much. I haven’t use Filofax but my Moterms have kept me satisfied when it comes to both the interior and exterior. While I will say, Filofax has that very slim look, I like that a lot. Moterms feel very heavy and thick. But I love them!

Customer service at C&P is top notch. They will definitely make good on that. I haven’t seen on that looks like this. I would show them how it looks from this angle

I don’t ever comment on videos but I feel so compelled. When I watched you unbox this c+p rings agenda I was like nope. The Filofax was top tier and compared to this there’s no contest. I understand wanting to switch things up and c+p is very well branded and popular but just seeing this made me never want to buy their products again. Even stickies and the like. It’s all marketing but when it comes to quality it’s not there clearly. I bought the filofax a5 Norfolk in currant after seeing yours in taupe but had considered getting a c+p one bc of the price but I’m glad I didn’t. Hope to see you in the Filofax soon!

LOL me too!! Especially since I recorded the unboxing, I'm thinking, "Ummm, is this how it's supposed to look." I do have a theory on why the planners look like that, which I'll share in my EOM flip-through. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

That planner certainly wouldn't be one they put in their happy hours. They would want one that is perfect, just like you should have. It is very nice, but they should be more accommodating for the price. Ashley seems like she would take it back.

Well this makes no sense! They need to exchange your planner for a normal cover! I think it is time for you to take a look at the Gillio line! I have the Norfolk and it is perfect! Also Filofax and Gillio use premium leather! Both of these brands last forever! This was a wonderful Planning video! Great inserts!

I received an a5 planner from C&P that had UNATTACHED rings just lying inside the planner. They tried to tell me I ordered an agenda cover when I had the invoice (they sent with the planner) showing I ordered an a5 6 ring. That was the end to my ordering planners from C&P (They did send a new one after some back and forth)

I got the c&p ash personal and it is also badly made !!very disappointed!! I have the Norfolk ,Malden and the moterm and they are all much better quality

I agree with you. The planner cover looks very sloppy. Differently not on brand with cloth and papers slogans or what the represent. Not cool.

That's upsetting about the quality of the Cloth and Paper cover... It honestly doesn't look like a quality of the leather, but a quality of the build of the product. It's terrible because the C&P one is more expensive than the Filofax one (depending on which country or site you buy from). I was debating between the A5 and personal size Norfolk from Filofax with the C&P ones, but instead just opted for a Moterm A5 in their new Dune color veg tanned leather. I'm planning to add a ring insert or to use my half-letter discbound in it. Hopefully it's better quality for the price compared to C&P.

Also one thing I will give to C&P over Filofax is the fact that you can change out the rings. I think if I come across one for resale I would pick a C&P one up.

I have a VDS with absolutely no stiffner and a large pocket and i dont have that air pocket so it has nothing to do with a soft touch or flexibility. Id return it on principal because of that poor service reply but thats just me 😂

I have the personal sized planner from C&P and mine does not have those air pockets. I don’t think those air pockets are because of the leather, it’s just sewn wrong! I’m sorry this happened to you..

Good point! and I agree! I remember seeing the planners in their happy hour live, and they did NOT look like that; that's reassuring to hear that yours doesn't have air pockets.

Gillio gray epoca is very close to this shade, a big lighter, just saying, it would be more expensive but you wont have weird ripples like that.

I would have returned this planner. The looseness would have irritated me. The overall planner is beautiful though. And their leather quality is good. I have their folios and planner covers for CPP, HL and classic.

I'm sorry, they're gaslighting you about the planner. There are tons of planners with big back pockets, including Filofax, and it doens't have issues with the poor leather and stitching. Please just return it. Find something that makes you happy.

Most things are made in China as its too expensive to make in the US. They obviously dont really care about the quality, but you're right, if you out it side by side to your filofax, the filofax quality is so far above this planner. I would have sent it back and got refunded.

I don’t understand the whole hype around cloth and paper their stuff really isn’t quality anymore and it looks a lot like happy planner all these colors and shiny stuff. I liked them when they were just nice neutral middle of the road company but now they’re just not good and the quality on this planner is horrible and people are paying hundreds of dollars for these planners and they don’t even have a latch there’s nothing heirloom about them it’s just a mess they’re quality has gone way down. I try to stay away from them as much as possible and I used to really really really love cloth and paper. Go get a Moterm
