The spotlight cache system became a lot more bearable once I started intentionally skipping cards. November was a really nice season for me since I was able to grab nocturne, Valentina and havok (I know the latter isn't good but honestly have a lot of fun with it) Turns out 3 banging a spotlight feels good when you get 2+ new cards out of it

For Bullseye, I think one thing that wasnt pointed out, but thats important to his viability, is that he inflicts -2 to different cards with each discard. Which means he'll be really good with Ajax as Bullseye will maximize Ajaxs buffs by spreading out the affliction across the board. So maybe there will be a discard affliction deck thats viable with Bullseyes release (but i suck at the game so what do i know)

​@scrowll1565 No, Rocket and Groot are not better, they are different. They often generate more power, but they don't change locations, which is a huge part of what makes Nocturne good. Rocket and Groot aren't going to turn off a Limbo or save you from an impending TVA or shut off an Onslaught's Citadel powering up your opponent's Iron Man or whatever. Location mitigation is so undervalued in this game.

Bullseye sounds very interesting to me, but you either have Bullseye working or Dracula. Can't have both working in the same match, and that sucks lol He really gives me the "Gambit Combo" feels, which you just try to discard stuff to damage opponent's board instead of putting power on your own board!

I think bullseye nicely replaces Gambit in the discard deck. Gambit doesn’t get played many games usually due to hand risk. Even if the Negative gets LC more swarms are nice

Dismissing Nocturne out of hand because of Rocket and Groot is a mistake. A very large part of Nocturne's strength lies in her ability to mitigate location variance, an effect that many, many Snap players dont play enough of. Rocket and Groot can move, sure, and can often grow larger, sure, but Nocturne allows you to rug pull a Limbo or turn off an Onslaught's Citadel or whatever. There's a TON of value in that and people are just dismissing her because she's not an auto-include 3/5 anymore.

I will very likely skip the spotlight cash from Ares Week. Also got a bunch of the other spotlight cards, but got more keys than token (but not enough to catch 2 weeks of bad draws on the cache), so it will be a difficult balancing act next season. Really ironic, cause i was wasteful with keys to get more Series 4 and 5 cards from the extra cache cards, when i was able to 1 or 2 pull the main card and now the last 2 weeks i had 3 or 4 instead already, so my luck is gone XD

I'm not missing a single card in the caches this month, so aside from praying I hit the new card before the 4th cache, I have no reason to open these. Feels so horrible that I can open a cache and get any series 5 I have or a variant of a card I can't use. I also have 18k tokens saved and it never feels like enough. I just wish I had a reason to open these caches past the new card in them because the rest is crahp for me this month (and honestly most months)

I think SD needs to separate negative power to open design space. Afflict is normal. Can be stopped by Luke Cage. They should have certain cards give fatigue, which is basically negging power but doesn't interact with Luke Cage Luke Cage would read: Ongoing : Your cards can't have their power reduced by Affliction.

Definitely building a Discard deck with Bullseye. I'll be making something new though, probably with Collector and Victoria Hand, too. I don't currently use Swarm in my Dracula one (going for Strong Guy instead) so will be nice to have that Swarm/Collector type gameplay again. I'm really interested to see if Scorn and Apoc get the Victoria Hand buff. It may end up just being Swarm that can get this. I did used to have a full Collector Discard with Wong/Mystique in it though, and I think a Victoria Hand/Bullseye version of this might be really strong. I laughed when you said the thing about Discard bricking, though. That is just how it goes, it's always really been the downside of this kind of deck.

I dont think scorn and apoc get Victoria buff, since quinjet does not reduce apoc cost even if it is discarded (It should Work and makes sense) since it is discarded and returns to your hand then technically it is not the same apocalypse that was in your hand

Honestly, I like these spotlight caches, except the one that comes with Ares, I don't care about any of those cards. I took my break from Snap around the time a lot of those cards were released, so I'm looking forward to getting Kate, Black Swan (for my bounce decks), Nocturne, Marvel Boy, Caiera, even Grandmaster... my issue is that there are too many cards I want, including some of the new cards, so I might have to skip on Marvel Boy and Caiera depending on how lucky I am in the first two weeks (currently have seven keys, close to eight, so we'll see...) 😅

Mill right now unfortunately feels like a great deck for people who want to feel like they're really smart and good at leveraging the information and deck control from playing mill cards but in my experience a lot of my games with mill are just me getting a ton of info from my opponent and then retreating on turn 5 anyway because i dont draw into magik or otherwise have nowhere near enough board prescence to pull a win out of nowhere. I still love the deck though, im pulling for grandmaster just to make the early curve not as terrible without him

I personally don't think so because they don't become new cards which is why they aren't shown as discarded. However, swarm is different because it creates two new cards which will get buffed. I also don't think VH will fit well in discard decks.

I think scorn, because she can provide more power if you discard enough, and also she is good with gambit discard decks that need constant fodder, which scorn can be. Proxima is just a 4 7 that's it. Scorn is much more than that.

IMO you are massively underrating the value of black swan. Bounce is not a playable archetype without her. The other bounce cards can all be replaced with cheap alternatives. She is the only unique requirement for the deck. Yes, bounce is notbthe strongest right now, but it is a fundamental archetype that gets regular support and is on top of the meta from time to time. IMO she has even more value than kate, because kate is not an unreplacable card in any deck.
