Thanks for making this video! I've been nursing a January Scent Project sample set for a while and haven't liked them much on paper, but this inspired me to try them more on skin. Just sprayed Burvuvu and I already like it better.

Oh yess! Paper is tricky a lot of times. Bruvuvu is incredible, I'm actually having a hard time deciding which 3 I would like to get. Enjoy!

marigolds are tricky as some class calendula a marigold but some will tell you that they tagetes genus and that calendula does not belong there as it is calendula genus.... however a lot of people will call calendula officialis marigold so depends which one the perfumer meant LOL. To me they do not smell same, calendula is more pleasant and also it is used in medicine, for tea, in cosmetics whereas the most common tagetes - Tagetes erecta (also called marigold) are pretty stinky and people put them in pots and gardens to keep insects away....uf... that was exhausting. Nice one Petra! I’m only familiar with calendula bc it’s in one of my favorite face moisturizers and you’re right, it’s smells very tea like and it’s very pleasant. Marigold/tagetes are either a hit or miss for me but they’re always interesting.

an easy brand? whoa bubba! I find this to be THE most difficult house that I have encountered. selperniku and horla are easily the most inaccessible fragrances that I know. I'll probably end up getting bottles of both at some point but for now I gotta brace myself when I open up my sample box because these assault my nose every single time. BTW, after hearing you talk about mecca balsam for many months I broke down and blind bought it after hearing it was an all natural brand (I'm finding I gravitate towards those). I thought I had gotten beyond blind buying. apparently not. so glad that I havent-because it was amazing! thanks.

I like to get my nose assaulted every once in a while 🤣. But Really thoigh? Now I'm curious, my artisan database isn't large at all and I really want to try more, in particular, St. Claire Scents, have to tried that house? Also, are there any artisan houses you recommend that aligns with that statement? I'd love to try.

I'm glad you love Mecca Balsam. He has a lot of really good ones that I love like Cafe Milano and Couio Del Dolci. And those 15mls are easier to absorb too 🤗

@@theudopantograph I have tried St. Claire Scents! you are most welcome to my left over sample remnants if you want them. I'm trying to be more discerning so it took several months of living with them before I decided on 3 big bottles (song of aubrac, pandora and frost). I also think mandy aftel is quite good. in all honesty, I rely on chris and camille's suggestions for my sampling-I'm nearly never steered astray. oh I got jade daisy too-I'm in love with Siva. apparently I'm on a tuberose absolute kick. I"m living in Siva and Beast Mode at the moment.
