For the books I chose for your TBR prompts in December, I read two of them! I read Leviathan Wakes (which has been intimidating me for awhile) and Down Among the Sticks and Bones (an odd book). For the prompts from your January TBR, I'm choosing: Redheads in Love (under 300 & fantasy); Last Argument of Kings (rated 4.27 currently); Pandora's Star (clouds & scifi); Where Dreams Descend (fire in form of candles); and Persephone Station (dystopian... at least I'm going that way because the synopsis uses the word "exploit")

I love this game so much. Wish I had the board and the cards physically to play it but for now I have to stick with the digital version. This month I played it for the first time and I had to squeeze in some books so I had to "reshuffle" the cards and bend the prompt to fit my needs. I ended up with: Card 13: Joo Dee - Read a Dystopian Novel (Cinderella is Dead) Card 50: White Lotus - Read a Book with Flowers on the Cover or in the title (The invisible Life of Addie LaRue) Card 54: The Promise - Read a graphic novel, comic or manga (Monstress Vol. 1) Card 42: Water Bending Scroll - Read a Paperback (Vampire Academy #2) Card 63: Ursa - Family picks your next read (Anna Karenina) I'm on tile 19 now. Don't know if I will get to all of them. But since I started most of them I won't be punished and have to step back, right?

The Bear and the Nightingale was a slow/ difficult read for me too and I don't quite understand why because I love flowery writing (I'm currently reading Strange the Dreamer and enjoying it very much). Opinions that I've heard other booktubers taking about is because it reads like a fairy tale and you're not fully immersed with the characters. I will give the second book a chance though, I heard from a friend that the second book is the best in the series, but I don't know when :) The Invisible Life of Addie Larue is really haunting, it was top 3 in 2020 for me :D

@@alexw8532 Warning. A bit of a spoiler ahead. . . . . . Addie - 'I want to live forever and see the world!' Also Addie - Spends over 100 years in the same city. Like 200 years in the same continent.
