We all need a "snack" book when we've had a lot of heavy "meal" books! 😅 If they happen to be a good story and well written 'snacks' then BONUS! 😂

I love that you are taking the time to reread books 😍 I liked Book Lovers for the same reason as you! I read Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi, you just reminded me to out Homegoing as well, I’ve heard nothing but great reviews 😊 I struggle with SA content as well sometimes, I don’t wanna close my eyes from it but it’s difficult to read. I read a lot of genre fiction and especially in those books I wonder if the intent of the author (often male) is just purely for shock factor & plot device and not to educate or tell a story of a victim/survivor. When it’s written in like that I despise it.

I'm behind on answering comments, but gosh 3 months, my apologies! Homegoing is so good, hope you like it when you get to it! And similarly regarding SA, I agree about the reality of it and in some context I can understand, but descriptions of it or unnecessary SA is just a no no for me. I know I react badly to it personally anyway!
