Bastia has a splendid food marked on Saturday, I think! Best local Ham we ever tasted! ❤ Update 2024 This year we discovered, that the food marked is also on Sunday, not all the same vendors! Plus a Brocante/Fleamarked and normal non food, lots of "Island rags" 👗🩱🩳😃 on the big Placa St. Nicola down by the ferrys. Corsica je-❤️

)Contrary to popular belief, Normandy was not the first French region liberated from German occupation in 1944 following the Anglo-American landing but the first French region liberated from German occupation was Corsica, Napoleon’s homeland, in September 1943 and it was exclusively by the French army commanded by General Giraud embarked by the French navy with the help of the resistance of the partisans of the"Indeed, the British and American governments not wanting to withdraw troops fighting in Italy at the same time, disapproved of General Giraud’s initiative and did not provide him with any troops. What town would recommend as a base to explore this island for seven nights?
@januslog
@januslog 10 ай бұрын
Great question. It depends what you are most interested in and how you want to structure the trip. If you’re into mountains and hiking, I would stay in or around Corte. From there, you can do day trips to the coastal areas. If you’re more into beaches, then the beaches around Calvi in the north and some of the Douthern beach towns might be best. But from either of these places you would need to take a 2-3 day trip to the other parts of the island.

@@michaelv1394 hi Michael, Corsica is very safe and there is definitely no violence against visitors. Some of the challenges are mainly directed against the federal police. Wrong! Only few.% want independance. The majority of corsican people want only more autonomy. The reality of corsican society is complex and in particular with politics subjects; so don’t be sure to have a good comprehension rapidly and don’t found your opinion with only words on the walls which are wroten by the same persons.
