Japan Adventure: Spring Edition (Kanto)

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Japan in April 2018 and I wanted to share more of Japan with you.
This is part one of a three-part series touring different regions of Japan. This video focuses on the Kanto and northern Honshu areas of Japan. Enjoy!

How easy was it to get to Nikka Distillery? We're staying about 10 mins from Sendai Station in about a month. Hoping we can make it up there.

There's a free bus to the distillery from Sendai Station run by Nikka. Check out their website. It has details and timetables. It's amazing and worth the visit!

Dude, watching these, makes me want to bring a proper video camera on every trip I go on. What sort of camera are you using? I love how much effort you put into these. After picking up editing, it really makes watching quality videos a completely different experience. So much character in the way you edit. This one's somehow even better than the last one Real interesting stuff about the sake, I've been on a bit of an alcohol adventure recently, wanted to try mead for ages so went out of my way to get some of that (it's excellent btw, my favourite's been dark cherry mead. Had a nice woody kind of aftertaste, reminded me of the smell of old fashioned pubs) and I think Sake's next on the list. But I feel like cheap sake might be shit, and I don't have a lot of money haha so I might not like it so much That Italian guy on the stage, I really hope he did it for a laugh. Please tell me you got that impression? That overwatch internet cafe bit was so fucking funny I'm guessing you weren't still around for hanami cause the irises weren't out yet right? (Also I thought wasn't that the most expensive time of year to go to japan?) Were you in Sendai when you did that livestream? I can't remember, or is that in part 2? I know what you mean about that Curry, not being able to edit it. I was horrifically sick for 3 days after eating some particularly bad friend chicken, and couldn't touch the stuff for half a year without feeling sick. Turns out it was norovirus and not the chicken that made me sick, but my body can't rationalise that Sorry for the essay of a comment haha these videos really make me want to travel

Loved the essay. Needs more citations, but overall well done. A- For the video, I just used a Pixel. I used the 4k 30fps setting, but I think 1080p 60fps is the way to go. All that matters is that the phone has good stabilisation and good autofocus, which is most phones made in the last 2 years. Cheap sake is gross, but honestly you can spend ¥2000 ($18USD) on a bottle of sake and it'll be excellent. You don't have to break the bank with sake. The Italian guy was 100% up there to have a good time. Not serious at all. Still a legend in my eyes. I was in Kinosaki for the livestream. I'm editing that episode (the final episode) now. Taste aversions is awful. It ruins certain types of alcohol for lots of people. I tried to have Japanese curry again yesterday and I couldn't do it. :( But fried chicken! I can't imagine not loving the hell out of fried chicken. What a nightmare. I think I'd be as lean as a bodybuilder if it wasn't for fried chicken though, so maybe it was good for your health?

I wish... But no. I had booked a flight for April 2018 late last year, but I decided to go to Japan in January 2018 so it wouldn't affect work. My work situation changed and I had juuuust enough money to go in April, so I decided to go again instead of cancelling.
