Agreed--good job and thanks from the Philippines and Singapore! Nice reaction time, BTW. It appeared the jet was ready for take-off in under 2 minutes.
日本を安全に保つためにあなたに日本エア自衛隊ありがとう、米国で半分日本人パラグアイの生活からしていただきありがとうございます。 Thank you Japan Air self defense force for keeping Japan safe, Thank you from a half Japanese, Paraguayan living in the United States.
Wow, cool video... i love those F-16 (Mitsubishi F-2)... I have a question, did the J.A.S.D.F. Pilot talk in Chinese to the aircraft? Or the Chinese pilot is responding?... Greetings.

+SebastianVG85 In the 1st half of the vid, it was in Japanese (& basic stuff in English). :) From about 8:30~ He's talking in Chinese to warn against Chinese aircraft.

元空自F-15Jのパイロットでした。 Japan Air Self Defense Forceなどとは言いません。 Japanese Air Forceと言います。 何故かと申しますと、国際的に自衛隊などとは理解できない名称です。なので、空軍と言います。

Japanese F-2 is all made of carbon composite, advanced in motion performance and accurate and powerful radar system than other air craft. Greetings from Tokyo, Japan.
Is it because the aircraft to be intercepted has already been identified as low threat? Or are they just trying to avoid looking so aggressive against the usual foreign aircraft (example Russian and Chinese aircraft's) to not escalate tensions.

no, as a japanese patriot, i know the facts about japanese foreign affairs and national defense also, you said [planning], that means japan still doesnt establish such force. i really happy about foreigner like you says me `japan isnt vassal state of US`, but it`s not fact. some true japanese patriots think japan is vassal state of US, not independent.

The future of the Pacific is a democratic community that leverages the power of a country like Japan, but also recognizes we can never repeat the horrendous mistakes of the 1930s-1940s. Despite terrible history, the best path for the future of the Pacific is a friendship among modern liberal democracies--Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, Australia, and New Zealand. And, hopefully--one day--, Vietnam.
Not very well armed for an intercept . Shouldn't they be carrying sparrows as well ? (F-2 can carry them) Imagine if the Y-8 has a su-30 escort?

Taking the time to rearm a payload would likely let the enemy escape. Sometimes you just need to get into the air with what you have and hope it works.

Why are they speaking english at some parts of their speech?
this is not a problem whether they speak correct english , chinese or not. The problem is that the chinese aircraft didn't care much about violating Japan's airspace. Hope all the Chinese can realize that it's really impolite and rude for us.

tohshiro hara I bet - not to mention... Whether were talking about the PLAAF - or any respectable Air Force - whoever wanders into any airspace that is sovereign, or, another nation's respective ADIZ? Well... you could speak bumo and it still wouldn't matter - the intruding party knows exactly where they are - and why they're there... kind of hard to play ignorant in 2016 - if it's another military aircraft of another nation - then more than likely, its a deliberate act - especially if theirs more than one. JASDF squawks the warnings because they follow ICAO established rules as any other professional Air Force would.
