Great video Momo. My favorite part was the sounds of the Taipei railway. The flight looked nice and relaxing. Maybe videos of Emirates, Qatar, Singapore get more views but so many KZbinrs are doing these trip reports so it’s so nice to see different airlines like this and the videos shot a bit differently like yours. I loved hearing all the natural background sounds without the music. Amazing job, keep up the good work 😊

Loved your flight review! JAL typically flies two kinds of planes on the Taipei (TPE) to Tokyo (NRT) route: the 787-8 (older version) and the 767-300ER with SKY SUITE Ⅱ. Just to note, the plane you flew on was a Boeing 787-8, but it had the older business class layout (SHELL FLAT NEO) compared to JAL's newer 787-8 business class with SKY SUITE.

@rick122522 thanks for that info. It looks like the morning JL flight is the 787, and the afternoon is the 767. The 787 seems not worth the money for only a 3 hour flight?

@@sinosoul You're right, for a short 3-hour flight, the 787 might not be worth the extra cost. If the 787 was using the older version, I'd definitely go for the 767, especially since it has a 1-2-1 configuration in business class. I prefer having my own space. Btw, It seems like JAL switches up the planes on this route sometimes, so it's always a good idea to double check before you book! For example, 12/22 JL802 (morning flight) is changed into B767 instead of using 787.

When the JAL Shell-flat NEO business class seat is configured in a 2-2-2 configuration, it is definitely a Boeing 787. By looking at the exterior as well as the interior, we can see that the plane has quite a few of the 787 features. Therefore, this plane might certainly be a Boeing 787. Btw, JAL switches between both types of aircraft to operate the TPE-NRT route.

I think the food is better on JAL, but some of its aircrafts are really old. ANA’s the room is nice, but they don’t offer full meal for red eye flights 🙂🙂🥲
