Thanks :) Yeah they do tend to hold you to the weight limitation for checked bags. Carry on was not checked weight-wise at any point. Since it was a short domestic hop we didn’t get a full meal. We did get a snack and a drink

What’s the weight for checked baggage? Is it the same weight requirement for all of Japan’s Airlines?

@pirella15 The checked bag weight limit was 20kg. Any additional weight was I believe 440 per kilo. For business class it was 45kg but I was in economy

Hi! I noticed you have a tattoo. Going there on March and I was wondering if they treat you differently cause of your tats? Even as a tourist? Last time I went in 2018 I didn't have any visible tats

Hi Angelique, no don't worry. You will be fine. You wont be treated any differently than a person without tattoos. The only thing is that if you want to visit an onsen, a natural hot spring bath, then you probably won't be allowed in as tattoos are not welcome there. You could book a private onsen but that would be more expensive. Have a great trip!

Hi, I paid 61 euros for the flight and it indeed came with check in luggage. I don’t remember exactly how much you were allowed to take but it could very well have been 20 kg indeed. There were no extra fees for the check in luggage
