Japan Day 8

Leaving Karatsu for my next hotel destination on the southern outskirts of Hiroshima.
The ride takes me to a popular surfing beach called Ohana which is located near a town called Shimanogita south east from Fukuoka.
The ride through Fukuoka City and Canal City Hakata was amazing. The freeway/expressway rides over the top of the central city of Fukuoka and one can cross the city centre easily and quickly. There is an amazing view as one moves along this expressway.
I visit the Kintaikyo Bridge in Iwakuni….an expansive 5 arches wooden bridge spanning the Nishiki River The township of Iwakuni looked quite interesting as I rode through but I could not stop as it was already late in the day.
