Should I bring an old 35mm or old digital compact to Japan this november

it really depends on how you want your photos to look. 35mm disposables are still very popular in japan so theres loads of places to get film developed for much cheaper than in the west. but then again, with digital you can see your photos as you take them, delete them, and try again. but if you are considering film, theres this shop in japan called bic camera where you can restock on film and basically get anything else camera related
