I would never have enough time on a trip just for looking at the history and architecture of your country. Beautiful.

I just visited Nara in December 2022, this video brings back good memories. Thanks to your earlier Aoniyoshi train video, I tried from Kyoto to Osaka and loved it!

I saw the thumbnail in my recommended videos and I was like "Omg! I know this place!" I stayed there for about one week back in April 2020 (I lived in Kyoto at that time, that's how I was able to) and originally booked for just two days but I loved it so much, that I extended my stay. The staff (there was this very nice lady, it wasn't unattended at that time) has upgraded me to a private room because of health safety and well, Nara was deserted at that time, so there weren't many guests. I am always thinking fondly of that stay. And Nara is a great city and a great prefecture. Didn't get bored at all staying for a week. If I didn't have to go to work, I would maybe stay even longer:).

Paper! I loved the Hostel. It is beautiful and traditional. The modern hotels are nice but the real flavor of Japan is in what makes it unique from anywhere else in the world. I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this nice 120 years old traditional Japanese place to stay. I have visited Nara in 2016, the place is so big that I can’t complete even in one full day and missed Todaiji Temple and it was under restoration then. Will definitely visit Nara again and this traditional Japanese will be in my bucket list.

I love this town, hardly no cars, everyone rides bikes and the deer roam free. But I am curious, who cleans up all the poop? Because the roads look so clean. I would love living in such a place. Thank you for taking us to such a lovely place.

This hotel/hostel looks well quaint. What a lovely experience! Hot tip regarding the deer: they are almost like wild goats. Keep still when offering them “deer crackers”. Break each cracker into rough quarters and offer those segments one at a time. Most importantly, tho, is keep still and keep calm! (I have extensive experience with both deer and goats & sheep)

Fun and relaxing video! I visited Nara many years ago and remember meeting many deer, as well as going to see the amazing Todaiji temple. I found it interesting how the hostel used the honor system, relying on the guests to be honest about what amenities they used -- that probably wouldn't work in the US!

I've seen enough anime to know that old Japanese estates do have warehouses detached from the main house... and that those warehouses are often haunted. While I've been in the Kansai area several times, I've never really gone to Nara. Perhaps next time I'll visit Todaiji and the deer park as well. Thanks for the video and stay safe!

Great video. I like the hostel concept, feel back to the past. Something surprising me, the hostel is definitely unmanned, the level of honesty in Japan is highest. Ah yes, the deer is on great number, and most of them didn't have horn.
