beautiful shrine. How long were you on the train? I learned that I really enjoy "tourist train" travel when I was in Alaska. I need to do another train trip sometime...maybe trans-Canada.

I highly recommend Nikko...there's more than just this particular shrine...there's a really cool waterfall, and some shopping...we didn't get to do all of that, because it was so cold, and we were already to head back lol! My pleasure! I'm not sure how the crowds will be in Nikko in Oct, but it wasn't too bad...it's funny, even though it can get crowded in Tokyo, and surrounding areas, it's not as anxiety inducing as you might think...people are quite mindful, other than some tourists...and happy early birthday!!

Hello! We reserved the tickets about a month in advance...we did it on the website. You can go to www.tobu.co.jp/spaciax/en/ to reserve...we caught the train at the Tobu Asakusa station in Asakusa. I hope you enjoy your time there!! Thank you for watching!
