Ooh loved this one! Pom Poko is one of our favourite Ghibli movies, gotta love the quirkiness of tanuki 😅 You guys did an amazing job of painting the statues!

Tanuki are one of the most ridiculously #onlyinjapan things 😆 Ghibli was very PC with it but the movie is great! And thank you 😊 I definitely shouldn’t have been so precious about the colour but it’s still really cool to have a Tanuki (and ninja!) of our own!

Some of those Tanuki look like they have seen some stuff, also I love the paint me like one of your French girls Tanuki. Also omg craft date, I want a craft date 🥺 Bears response is how all Japanese students say I see when they have no idea 😂

Definitely an underrated one! I don’t even know if I can choose 🙈 we’re both firmly agreed that Spirited Away is number one though. Howl’s Moving Castle is definitely up near the top too!🔥 Edit: will get Bear’s opinion on 2 & 3 when he wakes up 😆

I failed at keeping count of the number of euphemisms, double entendre, puns and wild tangents employed to keep this video from being demonetized. I was unable to find Emperor Hirohito's Tanuki poem, but several versions of the story with slight variations. I fear this tale may be apocryphal.
