Flipper's is the OG soufflé pancake in Japan, boasting a cult following throughout Asia. It's finally made the move to the States, opening its first US outpost in Manhattan. With a pancake that takes 10 times as long to make as it does to eat, the line of customers waiting to try this delicacy stretches out the door.

Unfortunately, just like the guy above said, you can't own recipes. But the first shop that served these Souffle Pancakes were insanely popular and the owner is incredibly successful already. Just imagine your recipe used all over the world though, just the thought of that is beautiful isnt it.
@pimaxuma
@pimaxuma 9 ай бұрын
It's not Japanese. Soufflé pancakes were invented in Hawaii, by chef Nathan Tran in 2009, Cream Pot restaurant in Waikiki. Japanese chefs stole his creation. Just FYI.
@Official-OpenAI
@Official-OpenAI 9 ай бұрын
@@pimaxuma That actually is very interesting so I did some more research on it. The only sources I could find was a Honolulu magazine and the instagram page of the restaurant. As much as I want to believe him because I hate to discredit people who deserve it, the only evidential proof he had are pictures of his own souffle pancakes which are taken way after the popularity boom. So I did more research in Japanese, and I found countless blogs that praised the Chef for his menu. So it's not like Japan discredits him and lies about how the Pancakes were invented in Japan. But you also can't deny the fact that it only spread worldwide because of the shop that opened in Japan. If I were Nathan, I would be happy my menu is known all over the world, instead of making hateful comments such as "they sent spies over to steal my recipe", which is very unlikable lol. But yea, cool story.

I understand why ppl are so excited about it. Once I lived in the USA, I couldn't find many good quality food. Too much of them were too sugary, too salty, oily , or they just didn't care if the food looked good. So when there's some restaurant cares about how does it look, the customer pay for it because it' deserved their money! Such as an Intalian restaurant I went, the owner does care about nutrition and neatness of the food, so it became popular restaurant and busy from open till close time.

This Japanese woman is like “oh yeah this is the hard work out into this creation .....” I honestly don’t care, there can’t be such amount of “hard work” to prepare some fluffy pancakes ... the definition of hard work has dramatically changed
@calebbb_c

Donovan Eretz Farrakan believe me, there is. these are extremely delicate and they are so easy to ruin. meringue falls really easily, so if you aren’t super careful, they’ll deflate. plus, managing an entire restaurant IS hard work. i’d like you to try and do everything they have accomplished.

ツhttpchoerrys “hard work” to create fluffy pancakes ??? I mean, I understand that to run a restaurant can potentially be a strenuous activity depending on how busy it gets and it can potentially be considered hard work. But the woman in the video makes it look as if to create fluffy pancakes is almost like worth getting a Nobel prize. In my concept that is not “hard work”. The meaning of hard work has become something completely different than what it used to mean and I don’t agree with this definition. In my opinion she wants to make it look as such a big accomplishment so they can justify the sale of the pancakes. She could just say that a chef created this recipe due to his intelligence and work but not make it look like completing general surgery residency or designing a new nuclear reactor. Those things are hard work, in my opinion. The rest is just cooking, running a restaurant or creating content. Just regular work.

Donovan Eretz Farrakan you literally just contradicted yourself - you said it could “potentially be a strenuous activity” yet you said this is not “hard work”? so literally someone working so hard to serve the customers that are literally piling up outside isn’t hard work? i’m sorry, but i don’t understand your logic. it is hard work to constantly make these perfect pancakes. i’ve tried to make these before, and they are so hard and meticulous. they can be ruined so easy by just one extra stirring motion. if that happens, wow, supplies are drained. again, there are people lining up outside for this. this is extremely stressful for the people working, as they have to work swiftly.

ツhttpchoerrys Ok, good. So let’s say that this is an “American hard work” activity, or “hard work” measured by American standards 😉

Soufflé pancakes were invented in Hawaii, by chef Nathan Tran in 2009, Cream Pot restaurant in Waikiki. Japanese chefs stole his creation.

They're alright. Had it in Japan and there was no wait, but I still feel like it wasn't worth it.

I love making these. But, for one recipe i have it takes like 25 mins to make 3 pancakes! hahahaha. Not that hard to make and super easy ingredients. But, time-intensive process.

I have a question Why do I wonder if the other producers feel jealous because that don’t get to try the food that a different producer ate? Hmmm 🤔
