I'm so nostalgic for Japan. Funny you mention the whole Papa Katsu thing I sort of had the reverse not dating, but women interested in a younger man for sure. When I first visited Japan I was only 20 years old, I remember when we were in Ishikawa at our Ryokan, I had some mid to late 40's business ladies in a group sort of hit on me, compliment me and my classmate who was a couple years old then me, I could see out of the corner of my eye one the ladies eyed me down, and then another asked us questions about where we were from? "Oh Amerikajin desu ne", they told us we were handsome and such, lol which to be honest I wasn't grossed out about, I had fun, and laughed with them, they were having fun, they probably just got back from having some drinks and dinner, and wanted to have a fun conversation with younger foreign men, which they probably don't get to do that often, and they were really friendly, very interested in why we were there, impressed that we were learning Japanese, and I was actually kind of flattered, and well I'm a guy so lol, so any female attention helps, ha ha So yes for guys asking about older women, I'm sure there are lot's of Mama Katsu out there looking for men in their 20's and 30's. If foreign men are their type even better for you lol. Works both ways lol Just more common that they are men looking for younger women because more men have power in society, but I'm sure if women had more power they'd be looking for younger guys too. I also had a fair amount of younger women flirt with me too. The best memory I have was I had one of those straight out of the high school movies moments, like where the character sees the girl of his dreams in slow motion and they lock eyes, I swear to God, it happened, no lie, I was walking in Shinjuku with a classmate of mine, not far from our youth hostel, I looked over and saw a girl around my age with a group of girls, she looked over, and then she locked eyes with me, and gave me the look, the eye to eye stare and smile and she bite her lip, and then she motioned to her friends about me, it was that stare and lip bite girls give when they are into a guy and clearly interested in you, I immediately got butterflys and that light headed, light stomach flush/blush attraction feeling, and felt like a magnetic pull to her, we were clearly attracted to each other, happened randomly, but its burned in my memory, still remember her face, she was gorgeous, pale white skin, nice lips, big brown almond eyes, defined natural eyebrows, blackish brown hair sort of wavy, she sort of looked a bit like the actress Yuri Tsunematsu when I think about it, it's been so long but I regret not running up to her to this day, even in that moment I wanted to run over to her so bad, and attempt my bad Japanese for her Number (this is before Line was a thing) and get a date lol, but we were in a hurry catching the train, and going to meet our Japanese teachers so we could head over to Shibuya for dinner. Man good times. Great memories. I want a time machine to be honest go back and get that girls number. lol
