if it was a game only meant for Japan and then I think they would be right to complain because if it's meant for a Japanese audience and of course you got to make it appealing to a Japanese audience since that would be your player base cino's Street Fighter is a game played by the entire world basically but even I've played it a little bit I'm not big into fighting games means that I think they were flat-out wrong to complain about this too much mostly because Kami is meant to be a British woman. The entire idea is she is meant to be a foreigner and with how much I've seen her britishness explicitly shown to be a big part of her personality makes me think they really were super wrong to say that she has to live Japanese even though she's supposed to be English in the game😂

No, she's like 80% whatever Race Bison is, she's a partial genetic Clone crossbred with superior human genetic DNA. She landed in England after having her Memory's Wiped and Bison's Control removed. Their beauty standards are based on things typically not found within their area to boot. I appreciate her more angular design and how it isn't focused on being cute. That design makes her look intimidating and powerful, which is exactly the kind of design you'd want in a fighting game. This refers to separate design philosophies between the west and japan. Not that she looks like she's white, if the problem was that she looked white, they would have said that. If you look at most AAA western games they try to strive for a more "realistic" look, while even realistic Japanese games try to make characters more conventionally attractive. Example: A Japanese game would never make a game with a girl that looks like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn as a protagonist The West would never make a game with a girl that looks like 2B from Nier as a protagonist Neither are wrong but I can tell you that Aloy's actual face actress was a lot prettier than the actual character for some reason...
