She is so cute when she does that. Maiko has a cute voice and I love when she switches from Japanese to English. I think that is like "thank you for the meal prayer". Correct me please if wrong.

Hello Paulo. I stumbled across this video and I decided to watch. I thought it was fascinating how the first Bento you grabbed was the kid’s bento when you walked into the shop. Who knew that in the future you would be buying it for your own adorable son!🥰💕

Thanks for showing us all the great food you can get from Tokyo station, we've been through Tokyo station so many times but with how big and busy it was, it kind of put us off! But now I know we missed out on some decent food options! Great job Paolo and Maiko 👍

See, I thought number 8 looked the best out of them all. I love pickled/fermented foods - and it's super healthy to boot. I try to be more vegetarian these days anyway. How hard is it to be vegetarian in Japan? What if you don't like seafood? I like shrimp, but I hate fish, don't really care much for the rest of it either - lobster, crab, etc.
@tuanacar5425 жыл бұрын
Tokyo station is one of the best place to get train station bento! If i remember correctly, there's this 1 big shop that has a hugeee variety of bento to choose from, from the regular to the exotics! Thanks for the video, Paolo! Cheers from Jakarta! **Edit** That shop is the 3rd shop Paolo mentioned!

Maiko! It's good to have opinions from you and Maiko, that way it seems less biased and it's also great for you to have shops other than Ekibenya Matsuri. For me I always go for the salmon/salmon roe, saba sushi, or self heating gyutan. Funny that my self heating box did work properly last time. Perhaps another video just for the self heating types of bento+some other interesting types?
I was hoping for a top 20, then the last bento would have been so entertaining, for us the viewers that is ha ha ;)

Paolo, is it possible to take the Yamanote Line to the Tokyo station and be able to walk around to all the shops without exiting the gates (and even go to the shinkansen track to watch the trains)? I just thought if I would get of there to watch the trains and buy a ekiben and the continue my ride.

The Shinkansen bento makes a happy meal look cheap and stupid! I didn't realize Tokyo Station had so many bento places! I would've liked to see a bit more video of walking up to the counter just to get a frame of reference instead of a map. However, the review of the food is what is important. I love Paolo's reaction to food he likes and Maiko always pops her eyes open and exclaims oishiiiiii with a mouthful of food. haha. Looking forward to the next episode! Thanks again!

I've had such bentos in Japan. They look delicious but most often than not, they're cold. And I don't like cold food. So does this mean Japanese do not mind cold bentos? This is one thing I never quite understood. My workaround is I try to get the warmer ones so that by the time I board the shinkansen, it's still warm.
@claretheworm5 жыл бұрын
Some of them are meant to be cold. There are others that have an activated warminh device built into the packaging.
