Thank you so much for the info. We just got back from Tokyo and I loved the stand with the sake! Two massive oysters and a big cup of sake for 1000 yen! The cheese dogs were a hit with the kids and the takoyaki from the shop you recommended was well worth the line. Can I make a suggestion for a video, hidden luggage lockers in the main Tokyo spots near train stations. Love your videos!

I just noticed whenever you cut from talking on the street vs doing the narration, it's so soothing and engaging for some reason! I think its so cool that I'll have to go back and watch the other videos again. What would be cool but also time consuming is talking to the actual owners of mom and pop shops and getting their stories. I bet they have some cool stories to tell!

You should do a video about foreign food in Tokyo, like tacos, pasta, burgers, pizza, lobster roll... Many people don't know that Japanese people know how to cook everything so well ! Taco tip: Shibuya Mexican Casa de Sarara Sooo good, the chef has been to Mexico to learn about the traditional taco.

One thing that i noticed that i really like about all of those stalls is that they use ACTUAL plates and bowls. No plastic or styrofoam. good and smart choice on their part. Saving money on supplies and also caring about the environment. not sure why all restaurants don't do this..it'll save them thousands of dollars in the long run.

I ordered a takeaway once when we were in Kyushu island in Japan and the bowl of ramen actually came in a proper solid bowl and after I was done with it, I had to leave it outside the front door for the delivery driver to come back to collect.

We went at Ameyoko in a weekend and the place was JAM PACKED. There are so many tourists and it is difficult to look over at the shops because you will get dragged by the crowd. It is suggested to go on a weekday so that you'll be able to go to the shops and eat the food you want without having to line up for it. 😄

I'm glad to see you again and Paolo,you dressed in the winter season.One of your shirt contains the letters Ja.Then you inspired and wrote Ja-Pan Merch.But your Filipino origin is better than what i thought so.
Hey Paolo, I'm a big fan from China. Just to provide some context on the Chinese foods you're eating, the Spicy Oden is actually a dish called malatang (麻辣烫): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malatang , basically a spicy hotpot soup base with skewers cooking in it. The soup dumplings are 小笼包 Xiaolongbao, which is basically what they call it over there in Japan. The most famous chain that serves it is Ding Tai Fung from Taiwan. The Yaki Shoronpo is originally called 生煎包 or shengjianbao,a pan fried dumpling thing from Shanghai that has a different, thicker dough than the xiaolongbao. The famous chain to eat it there is called Xiao yang sheng jian.

@tzu-huisherryyang92515 жыл бұрын
@@foomp it's more of a matter of the origin of the dish. We say xiaolongbao in Taiwan but tangbao in China. Xiaolong bao literally means small steamer dumplings whereas tangbao means soup dumplings.
@tzu-huisherryyang92515 жыл бұрын
@@hmr28 i believe from what he shows in the video, it's called jianbao, which means pan-fried dumplings. What's really common at least in Taiwan is xuijianbao or shengjianbao(more commonly used in China) which means water pan-fried dumplings. It's slightly different from gyoza which has a thinner layer than xuijianbao.
