How often are the low clouds over the nearby ocean?
This is another of my favorite rides in Japan. Kamakura has a very deep history and this ride is relatively short so one can almost memorize the route and perhaps get a feel for this history. Especially the Memorial Park by the sea about halfway through and the portion down the middle of the street. Great video. Thank you very much for posting.

Exactly! Although in the Anime, the train is coming from the other way. Sakuta and Mai take this train to the Northwestern end, at Fujusawa, where they then walk about 2/3 of a mile to their apartments across the river.

Shonan is indeed a popular place to visit and even to live in. I've been in Japan for five times, and Shonan was always on my must-go list. It is such a beautiful and quiet place, especially during summer time
Japan is the cleanest country in the world! I've watched many train videos from Japan and don't think I've seen a single piece of litter anywhere!..Amazing!

When I got on this train I had no idea what a treat I was in for. From Kamakura to Hase and then a short walk up the hill to see the Buddha.

The passenger transport system in Japan is the best in the world and the most developed. it’s not surprising that we get a lot of videos from there.
Wife and I rode this, several times, from Kamakura to Enoshima, when we re-visited in 2010. We STILL talk about how much we liked it!

@pexeq6 жыл бұрын
I was also there this summer, but we used a hiking trail to go from Kita-Kamakura to the Giant Buddha Statue. Great fun, but so exhausting we decided to go to "Cape Inamuragasaki" and end it there with a nice view of Enoshima and the coastline.
This railway is featured in the anime Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai.

I think the list of anime it was featured in is pretty long. BTW, 16:55 - Kamakura-kokomae station, where they filmed that scene with Nodoka as Mai, in 9th ep.

I'm a bit perplexed. I' hearing the automated arrival voice announcing in both Japanese AND English. On other trains and trams it's usually in Japanese, no other language. Is this for a reason on this train, or just a one-off?

what can be better than having a favorite train line memorized and feature in your favorite animation show.
It's spring loaded. It's always switched that way and the wheels push it open when it passes. They don't need to be motorized because every train always goes through the same way
