Japan Trip 2019 / Shinkansen passing at various speeds (125-320 Km/h) 4K

At Oyama and Nasushiobara Stations, we saw various shinkansen passing at high speed. We calculated the speed using the length of the skinkansen and the passing time. This might be a bit of an approximation due to the lens view.

Ever since first Tokaido Shikansen route was completed just before 1964 Tokyo Olympic, many other nation looked upon Japan's safety standard. To this date, Japan's Shinkansen is the safest in the world, compared to like China, as no major derailment at all. I would love to see that experimental over 600Km/hr. (world's fastest) Maglev train will complete commercial route soon and I am sure that will set a brand new safety standards for all the others to copy.

I don't understand why you have to look down to China to make Japan look great. We all admire Japan's achievement on high speed trains, but please get informed about the accident of Amagasaki derailment, although it was not the bullet train, no one is perfect. China was tortured in 1912 to 1978 by English, Japanese, and Cultural revolution meanwhile Japan had its best years.

In Europe there were a few high speed rail crash . Up to now, China has 40,000km HSR compared to 3,500 km for Japan. The accumulated passenger ridership and commercial mileage for China already exceeded that of Japan. It is not exaggerated to say China have more experience and talents than Japan in HSR. Comparing Japan and China on number of crash is like comparing AIR NEPAL to any other Major Airline and say Air Nepal had never known any air crash

You should see the Shinkansen pass through a station at night in the rain at high speed, and see the high-voltage current arching between the power lines and the pantagraphs. Amazing stuff.

I remember thinking it would be boring to wait for 45 minutes for a Kodama shinkansen, because Mihara Station is q minor station so only slower kodama will stop at the station, until one train just breeze through the station, the force of the train will make your senses awake.
