Hey Tim, thanks for sharing your stories and thoughts. It was an amazing thing to listen and it definitely made my morning! I'm glad to see your put out such quality videos and for the love of yourself and your channel, take your time with them. I'd rather see a little less, but nicely edited Vlogs and Video essays. I love your ideas of diving deep into topics and working them up so creatively. Keep it up brother! :)

I love the editing in this video - I can feel a great sense of 'play' going on! This was a great video Tim, I appreciate you sharing everything and I'm glad you had such a fun and family-filled Christmas. Please don't feel pressured to stuff that pipe with videos, just work when you want to and we'll be here for when the next Timvid bonks us on the head. I'm excited for everything you've got on the way :D So thanks for an honest channel update, I'm really looking forward to a 2023 of Timvids and especially the epic Japan Quest! Here's to you and the new year 🍻 EDIT: I got a jumper and pyjamas for Christmas - I feel very 30 now lol

I do 360 photos and videos and know exactly what you mean when you say it wasn't quite right. I can fix the gyro in photos but if it's off in video it's just not worth all the rework. Love your edits by the way. Have you ever thought about doing the voicing for audio books or text to speech programs? You have the voice for it. Thanks for sharing your stories, it also made my day and enjoy your Timcation XD.

Thanks so much, always love to hear from fellow creators and shared woes lol. And so glad to hear that you enjoyed the video and conversation, just what I was hoping for! 😄 Also, you know I have considered the audio book/text to speech kinda stuff (I even have a few audio books I've done on my channel), though I'm not even entirely sure how to get into that industry. Definitely appreciate the insight though, good to know someone would dig it!

I'll be going to Japan in March, but haven't done too much research yet. How did you make your travel itinerary if I may ask?

Awesomeee! Let me know how your trip goes and if there are any standout things you see that I should check out! As for how I planned things so far - lots of research! KZbin is pretty much the primary resource for me for finding cool stuff to do. For food related things I'd recommend channels like strictly dumplings/Mike Chen, TabiEats, dancingbacons, king kogi (Martina), and this network of channels called "udon soba" (should come up if you search it). When it comes to hotels and stays, also lots of KZbin! But kayak is a great, powerful resource for finding good deals since there are so many different filters and it searches across many different booking sites. Also of course Airbnb is not bad, and agoda always seems to have some of the best deals for stays in Japan. Finding the ryokan and park Hyatt was from KZbin video hopping and just random googling about different regions and popular Japanese destinations. Hopefully this helps a bit! I've actually considered creating a video about how I did all the research and booking for my trip (and any trips, really) - so lemme know if that sounds interesting or helpful! Feel free to ask any more questions if you have any here, or also you can drop by the discord if you want to chat about it! (one of our residents had a great Japan experience and I'm sure would be willing to share some tips) Cheers! 🍻
