This isn't a guide...
First time visiting these sites in Japan. Highly recommend visiting both spots. Quite touristy, but they are nice areas, for sure. I did this as a day trip from Tokyo by train (sorta forgot to book a bus in advance...). If you have time, you can explore further and check out the museums.
