Weylie I LOVED the way this vlog was put together-the shots, the editing, the music weaved into this calming, beautiful vlog in a way that still felt very *you* ! I’d also add that, as a viewer, I feel that you’ve struck a pretty good balance between what to show vs. what now to show as well as how much of your life you want to show; it comes across as very respectful and not overly intrusive of your friends’ lives & your own life. What a lovely vlog! Love your recent work 💛

As a Japanese viewer your video made me feel so proud of Japan just because you capture every part of it so beautifully! I love that you chose Uji city rather than the central Kyoto city because Uji has lots of beautiful places just like the central but not as crowded. 😉

This vlog brings back so many memories of Japan! I spent more time in West Japan this time and absolutely loved the smaller cities like Hiroshima. The tourists in bigger cities were way too overwhelming this trip so I'm going to avoid Tokyo next time. Also packing less is definitely the way to go. We were lucky to have laundry machines in every hotel we went to, so I'm halving the amount of clothes I bring next time. Need more space for snacks haha

I also went to a wedding in japan. It was in april 2023. Its funny bc we also noticed the menu and Japanese flight crew on our JAL airlines flight towards Japan was so much better than the menu and American crew on the flight back. Japan customer services is exceptional. I can't wait to go back. Already planning a trip for the fall.

If you come to Japan in the summer, be careful of heat stroke. If you have tattoos, you will not be allowed to use hot springs and swimming pools. If you use those facilities, you need to cover your tattoos with gauze or something similar. I hope you have a wonderful trip! 夏に日本に来るなら熱中症に気を付けてください。 もしあなたにタトゥーがあるなら、温泉やプールは利用できません。 それらの施設を利用するならタトゥーはガーゼなどを貼って隠す必要があります。

Hi Weylie! Did you guys take your own luggage on the shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo? Or did you guys use a luggage delivery service
@weylie_hoang8 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, we brought our luggage on the Shinkansen. Wah booked the seats in advance and there was an option to pay extra for luggage storage on the train, so we just did that! We didn't have too much luggage for this trip. Just 2 medium suitcases and a carry-on, so it worked out!

How is it navigating japan’s airport and train station with luggage? I’m traveling this summer and was debating whether to only bring a carry on but really want to bring back souvenirs 😣
@weylie_hoang8 ай бұрын
It wasn't too bad in my opinion! However, the train can be pretty packed during rush hour in Tokyo. It also depends on your strength and if you think you can manage carrying your stuff!
