@@storiesofmilo Yes I hope so! I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll be a relatively quiet time to visit. Not that I’m expecting it to ever be super quiet of course 😂 Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip on here 😌😊

To be honest, it will probably be busy 🥺 Japan tourism is SOOOO well-developed, even locally: you will often see a lot of Japanese tourists themselves visiting other prefectures! I recommend to do like I did: just accept it 😂 and build strategies to optimize the experience! For example, getting up super early to see very touristic places (the shrines open with the sunrise so it's very feasible!) - you will have a blast no matter what!! ☺️
@browsefly9 ай бұрын
@@storiesofmilo Getting up super early is a great idea, I was going to do that to take advantage of the inevitable jet lag on the first couple of days, and hopefully get some good photos in the process! Are you hoping to go back to Japan sometime?
@storiesofmilo9 ай бұрын
For real!! And also, it's super fair to plan mid-day nap 😂 Yessss I will go back for sure 🥺 This first trip was mostly to get a feel of the place... Now I know I want to explore more and more of the countryside specifically!

Oh Milo love seeing the older gentleman after you doing their own little stamp rally honestly the stamp collecting culture in Japan is amazing and can’t wait to embark myself in the same hunt adventure. Who knows maybe make it a goal to stamp at every prefecture jkjkjk just a wild idea of mine 👀😅
@storiesofmilo9 ай бұрын
Wasn't this the cutest?? 🥺 And Japanese too!! It's not just us tourists who are on the hunt for stamps 😂 Buy yourself a notebook with THICK pages - I did that mistake, mine had thin pages so I had to "skip pages" to make sure one page wouldn't ruin the other... 😅
@LetsExplore3079 ай бұрын
@@storiesofmilo yes I can see why it’s such a cool thing to do no matter if you are a tourist or local everyone seems to enjoy it. Also such a cool thing to do since you can visit all the prefectures with the excuse of catching all the stamps. And yeah I already bought one from Amazon’s none-line or doted and the pages seems pretty thick so I hope it doesn’t cross over.
@storiesofmilo9 ай бұрын
Definitely!! I have to admit that sometimes I would plan my itineraries to get off/get on at DIFFERENT metro stations in Tokyo or Kyoto just to get the chance to get a new stamp from a new station... 😂 The gamification is real haha
@LetsExplore3079 ай бұрын
@@storiesofmilo huh don’t give me ideas!!! My itinerary is already full packed for 3 weeks in November I can’t keep adding more ideas to it 😅😅👀 but definitely a fun way to explore more areas

こんにちは!I'm a Japanese living in Yokohama. I am glad you have come to Yokohama. This vlog was very interesting and fun! Next time you should visit the Minato Mirai area. It is a very nice place to stroll around! And there are also several stationery stores around Yokohama station. Please come to Japan again😊

Hello! I will visit Tokyo soon, and I want to collect stamps! Do you have any tips on how to spot the stamp areas in the train stations more easily? I know the train stations can be a maze. 😵💫
@storiesofmilo9 ай бұрын
hey there ☺️ so, they are usually not hard to find! they are usually right by the turnstiles and/or where you buy a ticket! there's a sign + people stamping. On the rare occasions I couldn't find it, I would go to the info desk (where there's someone) and say "sumimasen...eki stampu kudasai?" (excuse me... the train stamp please?) = that's grammatically incorrect haha but they all got the message! And one time I couldn't find, the guy got the ink + stamps from HIS desk... so, yes, sometimes (rare) there's not even a stamp "station", you have to ask the staff for it! Still, they made it super easy!! ☺️ Highly recommend, it's so fun! Small tip: get a notebook with THICK pages - mine was too thin, i had to skip pages 🥺
@kmakma5259 ай бұрын
I am a Japanese🇯🇵, so that I could understand which city you are moving from Yokohama by seeing your train ticket😆. As I see your video, I have never notice and recognize there was such a station stamp culture in Japan, which may attract you. Anyway, I cannot wait next video😂😂😂.

Japanese people think of ramen as noodles, while foreigners think of it as soup. Therefore, Japanese people eat noodles first, while foreigners drink soup first. ···I think.
