Japan and Chinese Taipei played in the winners bracket in the 2023 Little League World Series. The winner of this game would be just 1 win away from the international championship game.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, MLB), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more!
The best part of my work as a KZbinr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other KZbinrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I love the sportsmanship from the hit by pitch from Taiwan. first the pitcher ran up to apologize, and the first baseman also gave him a tap. raising gentlemen over there.

It's funny how people still think it's possible nowadays to get away with having players older than 12 like the 80s. It's way easier to just simply comment on the internet spreading misinformation, than spending 5 min to look up just how good CT is at junior and senior baseball league. Shame on those cynical guys. The amount of effort and time these little kids have put into is incredible, so as players from all the other countries. So how about yall just be kind and recognize the amazing performance of these little stars. :(

@chihchang1139

@@brianmeen2158 they didn't cheat with older kids tho. in 1977, Taiwan banned three players despite them being 12 but a doctor had decided that their penis maturity was that of adults so therefore they can't play. The "Taiwan cheated" conspiracy theory stems largely from Chinese propaganda that unfortunately many in the US started to believe simply because of their dominance at the time. The main claim was that Taiwan sourced players from all over, outside of each district or even formed specific baseball schools. However, this is just Chinese propaganda because Taiwan's "sports schools" turns out to be just like American sports camps and Taiwan schools did have charter school style enrollment, but so did everybody else. It's more apparent that this is just Chinese propaganda because Japan's system is precisely the same as Taiwan's system (and I've been told South Korea is also very similar), in fact Taiwan's school system is created based on the Japanese system. Yet, Americans love Japanese little league team and would never have accused them of cheating even though Japan almost as dominant as Taiwan was. It's not racism. It's Chinese propaganda.

Are the students from this school drawn only from the immediate vicinity of the school? Or can any child from the entire city, or the nearby region go there. If the latter, it sets up an easy way to 'stack' a LLWS team with the best 12 kids from all over everywhere. Once the school starts winning local championships the attraction for good players elsewhere to transfer there. The N. American teams are strictly limited to a town or small area and cannot pull players, especially pitchers, from outside their area.

Japan benefits from old rules that allow 13 year boy in the tournament because their school has 13 years (3/31), Taiwan most 13 year boy were in junior high school. So Taiwan lost 5 in row to Japan. But since 2017 new rule ban 13 years boy and Japan haven’t win a championship since then. But new rivalry South Korean win Taiwan till last year, Taiwan has a good pitcher to beat South Korea. Lots of cheaters in history... none of that counts. Back then they would take the best players of each all star team and assemble essentially a national team.

They even had a player who had his own family already in "little league". Good for them if this pitcher's the real deal though.

@@boneunowproductions Bro just look it up. All the bad history are like 20-30 years ago. It's 2023, it's gonna be harder to cheat than taking the actual champion. It's not that hard to take the lose.

the 2023 JP team is a complete joke compared to the 2012 and 2017 tokyo kitasuna. their dominance back then was unreal. maybe the decline is connected with the low birthrates in JP. then again, taiwan has dominated the llws with 17 titles.

When an Asian kid throws 80mph then ppl are like there’s no way he can do that. Yeah it can’t be…only non Asian kids can do that😂😂 No one was amazed by how he was trained to be here. It’s his World Series and his prime at his age. His parents must be very proud of him. Oh wait does Ohtani dominates MLB? No way he can’t be…he is an Asian😂😂.
