@@daviroza4700 You have no idea what you are talking about. Yes, Japan does not currently have nuclear weapons, but can easily manufacture them. They have the raw materials and the infrastructure to do so. This does not make them weak. Also, the JGSDF is small, but technologically worthy. Are you so uneducated, that you do not understand the reasoning behind the reliance on the USA for military protection? A hint, it has something to do with WWII, smart guy. You are calling people idiots, yet you are the one with the foolish screen name and spewing misinformation as if you are intelligent. You are one hilarious IDIOT! Stay in school, kid. You need every second of it.

It would be comical. The Yakuza really just extorts people and businesses with threats and take advantage of a cultural desire to avoid confrontation. They also trick women (many of them from the Philippines) into prostitution and work as their pimps. I lived in Japan for three years and you'd see these guys working as touts outside seedy businesses, dressed all gaudy and acting faux tough. The Yakuza sounds all cool and menacing to people in the west but they're really just pathetic.

Since Japan is no longer an imperialistic entity, them adopting a proper military might not be such a bad idea. Their politics are completely different and the general antiwar attitude of the people might be a healthy approach to rearming themselves. however it is their constitution and as a democracy their people should be the ones to choose that path, not the prime minister.

@@trla6505 they've always had a self defense force similar to the national guard and coast guard in the U.S. my comment is more so for the sake of them adopting an actual military so in the event of a larger conflict they're not strictly fighting on the defense. they can participate as a really strong ally to the us in the event of a larger scale conflict. or they can go to war if needed. if another country were to attack them defense will work to an extent but it wont completely eliminate a threat.

Tomy Canis The issue may not matter to the West, but it still matters a lot to Russia, China, and North Korea. these countries were devastated by Japan and still hold a huge grudge. If Japan start militarizing, it may set of an arms race with China, Russia, and North Korea. And their (China/Russia) traditional enemies will also join the race: like India (which will trigger Pakistan). In that, case ISIS will be the least of Japan's worries.

Well this will be a Muslim will be PM of Japan and meets in China to sign a treaty of peace with the Islamic State that means the Islamic State becomes part of the Chinese government that means Japan's economic rennisance or say that Japan's strongest economy in years become stronger than ever as a Muslim country because of the Islamic State becomes part of the CCP, I do believe for Japan's better economic future is that let Japan be controlled by the Islamic State if saying if the Islamic State is controlled by China, then is better for Japan to be governed by the Islamic State for a better economic future.

@@kirey5477 Currently, Syria is a republic (meaning it has a President - by the name of Al-Assad; a secular Ba'athist [Arab socialist]), while Iraq is a democratic republic (meaning it has a President, and the citizens have the right to vote - even the women). They are not caliphates - a caliphate is essentially a supreme dictatorship run by a Muslim chief. So, just because the majority of people are Muslim, that does not mean the country is run as an Islamic caliphate. 'Muslim' does not equal 'Islamic', in the context of 'populations and their respective governments'. Hope that helps :)

I think Japan should have the right to defend themselves and have an army. Why not just rework the article to prevent the country from invading others unless provoked? That way they couldn't move into others territory and start a war themselves and still be able to have an army.
@TheV8maverick
@TheV8maverick 9 жыл бұрын
because that leaves a lot of room open for interpretation. What constitutes provocation at a level that justifies war? Is it a foreign leader bad mouthing your country or is it a foreign military crossing into your territory? There's a lot of wiggle room in there. Not to mention you could have people straight up misinform the general public and use it as an excuse to go to war a la Vietnam

Atheistmonk lol the irony. you act like you know what your talking about. i AM a shia. my cousin lives in an arab country. my parents are from a country which is majority sunni (pakistan). the pakistani community where i live includes many sunnis as well as many many shias. and also, i have met my fair share of sunni arabs as well as even more shia arabs. i can tell you. a majority of the time someone named ali will be a shia. ali is the name of the first shia imam and the 4th caliph of the rashidun caliphate who's descendants were the 12 shia imams. now maybe now and then a sunni arab may have the name ali, but a vast majority of the time it will be a shia. there are other mostly shia-exclusive names as well. like jafar, kazim, reza, hassan, hussain. (there are other shia names but the ones i listed are ones that are hugely common among shias i have never met a sunni with them.) so before you call someone and idiot make sure you know what you are talking about. you stupid fucking *idiot*
