Thank you so much for recommending this! I just got back from Japan last week. I purchased Japan Wireless thanks to you. It saved me so many times when I didn't know where I was going. With the Wifi I was able to use google maps all the time and I was able to navigate my way all around Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. People in my tour group kept asking me how I knew so much about Japan. I was able to look like a genius lol! I was also able to make a great video of all the places I went. Check it out if you have time. Thanks again!

Wow thanks for the review :) I think I'm gonna get Japan Wireless when I visit Japan next year. Did you live at a hotel or Airbnb and which one do you think is best for a solo traveler(1 or 2 weeks stay)?

I agree “Not even wrong”- great investment to make when visiting Japan! I stayed in a hotel (there’s a video on my channel of that hotel if you want to watch it) I did look into air BnB when I first planned to go because I do like staying at them, however I opted for a hotel because I got a great deal at the time AND it was a lot easier for me to reach the hotel from airport solo then to an air BnB!

I like to know whether the pocket wi-fi was a must in Tokyo as I see many places where you can connect to wi-fi there ... I'm debating...

I would definitely say for myself, yes! I spent my whole trip stationed in Tokyo. There are sooooo many people living and holidaying there that even though there is free wifi everywhere, it doesn’t mean it’s of quality. A few times I tried random ones and they’d work and other times it was a laggy connection that didn’t load anything. I obviously used my hotel wifi all the time when there, but other then that I never used anything other then my pocket wifi. Totally up to you, but I would definitely get it again in a heartbeat, especially when day tripping far away from civilisation.

I will be going to Japan early next month and this is a great device depending on the features that you have mentioned. I have been using RentnConnect which are doing very well but I have to communicate with them and see if they are offering their services to Japan Tokyo. In the meantime let me know its perfromance
