I think it's because of its charming simplicity. All the detail in the drawings are minimal but the ones that are in there stand out more. It reminds me a lot of Warcraft III characters, simple, charming and showcases a lot of personality

reminds me of the illustrations in my old primary school textbooks. It was clear they hired a small team to draw them but depending on the subject each of them had their own unique style that shaped a portion of my own artistic growth. So imagine my shock and pain when I saw my little sisters textbooks (who is in the same school and learning the same subjects) filled with AI art. It felt like something was missing from the new books. The charm the old one I grew up with completely gone

Omg it's kinda endearing to finally know the name of the artist who drew literally every single one of the clip art in my Japanese text books! I never really cared or bothered to check out who drew clip arts and I've always taken them for granted, but this is a humbling realization that it's still drawn by a real person, expressing their own creativity, in their own style.
