I didn't know you had a youtube channel, or did a ceres mission! this is so cool

I really like the way how you use chemical propulsion on your transfer vehicles
@piplupsingularity Жыл бұрын
This transfer vehicle uses nuclear thermal propulsion because a lot of changes in velocity are needed.

@@piplupsingularity i'm heading to it too, but in career mode. still not sure if kerbals will survive the radiation and won't get crazy during 5-years trip :)

@@basila33 Radiation shielding helps, but it gets really heavy. Crew stress in Kerbalism is supposed to be "cured" by centrifuge parts (according to The Destroyer [TD Channel] on their Discord server), but I never really got it to work, so I just disabled stress breakdowns in the settings. I also did this mission in sandbox.
@basila33 Жыл бұрын
@@piplupsingularity there is the limit in Kerbalism, you can't have comfort time greater than ~4 years, no matter how big is the living space of the ship and if it has centrifuge and greenhouse. i hope it solves by "infinity habitat" tech which i recently opened. i'll know soon, the ship is building already :)
@piplupsingularity Жыл бұрын
@@basila33 I know that, hence TD mentioning that SSPXr centrifuges are supposed to have a "curing" mechanic that reduces it to zero.

Finishing it off with a sprinkle of dangerous radiation from the reentry of the "earth arrival stage" containing a nuclear engine at 11:31, strewn across the ocean, i guess even Japan doesn't care about the fishing industry. I probably don't need to mention it but this is just a joke
@piplupsingularity10 ай бұрын
After detaching the capsule, the Earth Arrival Stage made sure to correct its trajectory so that it did not enter Earth's atmosphere.
