Japanese Dude Inspects REX Envoy (Scratch + Dent)

Hi, it's Kazuki!
Today, I want to show you guys my new safety razor, REX Envoy.
REX Envoy is a stainless steel, CNC machined, made-in-USA safety razor.
I got into the world of wet shaving a few month ago with a cheap safety razor. It was a good one to start with, but I wanted to get something nicer and American.
I did a lot of research and came across REX Supply. Co. www.rexsupplyco.com
They go for $150 on their website and it is a lot of money for me to spend on a razor. So, I decided to buy the "Scratch + Dent Item". They still have all the mechanism that the regular razors do but come with some imperfections on the surface (They are NOT used or second-handed).
They are half the price. So, if you want to get your hands on REX's razors but are short on cash, this is the way to go!
In this video, I talk about why they are cheaper, what I see on the surface, things to be careful about when buying one of these, etc.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I probably should make a new video about wet shaving. It's mainly because it's cooler and more fun lol (This is important for me cuz I hate doing a "chore" in the morning). It's also cheaper in long term cuz all you need to buy it just a blade that costs literally a few cents.

@@joeypruitt7750 For razor, just get something cheap first. I know Gillet has some safety razor too (I think it's called King C Gillet). You are gonna have to just see how it is. For blade, I like ASTRA!

Good video buddy, I had the Ambassador and sold it. I didn’t think it was worth the money I paid for it. Saying that I might eventually get the Envoy as it’s basically the same only none adjustable and half the price, I would only buy it to show on my channel and get people’s opinions Atb Paul

Ambassador seems cool but yes the price is too much for me. I heard Envoy is about level 3 on Ambassador, and if that's all you need, Envoy is the way to go. If you don't mind small imperfection, scratch + dent items are good option too!

they seem to be well made and shave good, that said not the cheapest around. Is it worth getting over other razor? will it give you a better shave? Not so sure… best wishes Mr Straight Razor

To be honest, I'm still new to wet shaving and tried only one razor before REX. It was cheaper and REX does better job than that one for sure, but I'd assume there are something else that's cheaper and shaves good too. My beard does not grow that much either, so I feel the cheaper razor does good enough too. I like how this razor looks and the fact that it's made in USA

I like REX Envoy so far! Before this razor, I tried Gentleman Jon's racer kit (it came with the razor, blade, brush, lathes bowl, soap, and the alum block). It taught me good about how to wet-shave and I used the razor for about 6 months. I just wanted something nicer that last long.

Yes! You pay a lot of money on these razors, so I'd say it has to come with lifetime warranty lol
