Pickups appear to be Classic Vibe/Tone Riders. Not bad but I’d expect Gotoh pickups at this price

Helluva good review and video. I just dont understand why you are saying that the price is so good. I mean the gig bag this comes in is worthless, goes straight to garbage in my book. Even the mexican gig bag is better. The guitar as a guitar is very good indeed and im glad i bought one. However its not as good as an american guitar. I think that peole pay too much attention to the whole MIJ thing. I beleieve that nobody makes better guitars than in America. However the player plus are insane value: locking tuners, flat 12 radius fretboard, rolled edges, noiseless pickups, comfort cutaways, push pull. Dont get me wrong i do recommend this guitar but i would definitely look at the player plus for those interested in it.

I've been looking at getting my first Fender, specifically a Player Plus, and then these MiJs came on my radar. Here in the UK these MiJ Fenders are about £1000, but the Player Plus average out around £850. I love Japanese-made things in general, but I agree that it's hard to justify the MiJs in favour of the PP what with the features the latter has.

I mean it in the sense of being compared to a Player Plus (Maxi) at 1099.99, and this one for a $100 seems like a no brainer to me. Just my opinion. Thank you for the great comment and nice words!! Yeah gig bag isn't that desirable LOL Agreed
