Great ideal on the left over crust. When I was a little girl, my mom made biscuits every morning and sometimes there would be a few left over. When we wanted a snack later on in the day, she would split those biscuits, put butter and brown sugar on them and toast them. I can still taste how good those were. This really is a good pie to make. Thanks!

When my kids were little I always baked the leftover pie crust. I would roll it out and butter it and put cinnamon and sugar on it, they loved it 🥰

Crazy Me 😜 Sounds like something my grandma would say. She grew up on a family farm and we always spent Christmas there as a child. I remember the cold room too. I think we would sneak in there for some treats 😜
