Indian Cooking Trick: Whenever you knead dough,add water gradually in little quantity so you won't add extra water to your dough. If you don't want to make you Gulab Jamun syrup sweet you can add other flavour's to the syrup by adding Rose Water or Saffron ,Cardamom and reduce the sugar in your syrup.

you have to keep the flame medium and fry continuously stirring so gulabjamun cooks evenly. if you fry on high heat, the center is uncooked and no syrup is absorbed.

That measurement for sugar was for sugar crystals (because that's what we most commonly use here). If you were going to add sugar powder, you should have at least halved (or 1/3rd, depending how fine your powder granules are) the volume because obviously the powder has higher density than crystals.

You have added more water in Gits Gulab Jamun Instant Mix Pack, so if next time same thing happens then instead of adding Maida in it, please add milk powder, that will retain actual taste of this Gulab Jamun mix and soak extra water.
