Hi Jen! Great to see and hear from you again. First, I very much approve of your indulging your Filipina desire to take pictures of yourself. More please!! ;)) In the past I have not spent much time researching the history of the Japanese times on Mindanao, so your presentation and tour are very interesting. In a way it's a shame so many of the historical areas are not accessible due to being on privately owned land but, on the other hand, perhaps the areas will be better preserved this way. Of course it can also be said, "preserved for what?" I think the best use of items of history are to be seen and studied so people can learn from past successes - and mistakes. Anyway, nice job Jen!! I hope you're doing well and enjoying your video-making. I understand it's a lot of work, so *thank you* once again. Cheers! 👍 ;)) ❤️️

A tunnel system like that under Davao is very important in the event of a war. Fortunately for the Philippines, the war ended 77 years ago, and it's even worse that now Ukraine is suffering from aggression by Russia. Sometimes even shelters or basements are too weak, when, for example, a 500 kg bomb or even stronger one drops. Such explosions are commonplace in the city of Mariupol, which was completely bombed by the Russians (for example, the theater building, although the words «Дети» "Children" were visible from the air - several hundred civilians died inside). In the same city, Ukrainian soldiers are still defending themselves with the remnants of their forces at the metallurgical plants, thanks to the tunnels under the factory. At the moment, as I write this on May 10, 2022, there is an increased missile attack on another Ukrainian city: Odessa. It's good that there are deep tunnels there too in Odessa.
