This is the first recipe for Japanese Iced Coffee I've seen that uses 18g rather than >30. I only ever make coffee for myself and appreciate a recipe that doesn't end up with a wild amount of caffeine!
@bridgecoffeeroasters3 ай бұрын
Great! You can scale this up if needed but for one person we find 18 grams as a good top end dose
@edoalva48Ай бұрын
Well that's just all about ratio. Even if you found a recipe with 30g, then just halved it to 15g. The amount of water as well.

I’m really more of dark flavor ice coffee drinker so I make mine on a Breville Touch pro with two double shots of Espresso and one small Americano poured over ice in a large Yeti with monk fruit-allulose for sweetness. Taste great and last awhile.

First tutorial video that I watched without seeing the actual brewing technique and just focus on barista instead of coffee. Anyway gonna try the recipe and see how it goes.

Whats your water temperature?

Depends on the roast level of the coffee. For light roasts, fresh off the boil, 100 celsius. Medium maybe 95, dark 90

Yeah, it’s always a good idea to get people for pleasure. Some young people use it to tell someone how he or she feel, maybe on Valentine’s Day. And it’s also great to give a blind box of coffee chocolate as a kind of gift to the friend who happens to be a chocolate addict. The process is gonna be fun.

That's correct, and then you may need to add more Ice into your finished drink to keep it cool

that's just bland water, with a hint of coffee in it.

Very much depends on what you're used to drinking, what coffee you're using and how fine you are grinding. It ends up being the same strength as a standard filter coffee. Worth giving a try though!

@@bridgecoffeeroasters am sorry my friend, i wasn't trying to be negative or something to your skills. Its just, i am from Ethiopia (East African Country) and we are used to strong authentic coffee drinking habits and ceremony. I have never heard of a coffee being taken "COLD". Thats just weird! Hope u understand my view point.

@@fahmizekeriya6366 What's weird to some is normal to others! Highly recommend that you give the recipe a try. Would love to hear your opinions on it.

Probably should invest in a second camera to have a close up shot while you bloom and swirl the mixture. What with all the fancy gadgets in your kitchen surely a secondary camera is peanuts 🤭

We have since invested in another camera! Thanks for the feedback.
