I'm commenting this not to bash Kazuha because she's doing great, but I want to tell everyone who came across this comment that it is possible to learned another language in a short time as long as you have time and you can optimize it

Ive always admired kazuha for literally learning how to speak READ AND WRITE whole new language, with different letters IN THE SPACE OF 6MONTH OF TRAINING while practicing extra hard to learn how to sing and a whole new type of dance like just the language part is impossible for me

Korean has more consonants and vowels as compared to Japanese so I also often struggle to find the correct ones. It’s difficult for our ears to distinguish them.

As someone who is trying to learn korean through duolingo writing is hard af because the romanized version of hangul sometimes doesn't actually correspond to what the consonant or vowel actually sounds like so im finding it very difficult i mean i would probably be better at it if i spent more time trying to learn it but that's a lot of committment i just don't have right now

Honestly, her Korean is still very good. She just hasn't learned how to write certain words correctly, which is normal when learning a new language. When I hear her speak, her skills is actually somewhat better than Sakura. She has better pronunciation and uses more advanced words as well. I feel that Sakura will end up speaking like Momo, when she becomes really fluent. While, Kazuha will end up speaking like a native Korean. I believe that she can surpass Sana. Sana still struggles with "ㄴ/ㅇ" pronunciations, even to this day. Kazuha gets right most of the time.

@@oatmeallvr if you watch the “Time to Twice Y2K TDOONG Show EP.03 at around 5;03, Sana first says “은핸/eun-heN” instead of “은행/eun-haNG.” And then, right after, she says “톤장/toN-jang” instead of “통장/toNG-jang.” And while back on “Happy Together,” she couldn’t say “엉덩이/uNG-deong-e” and instead said “언덩이/uN-deong-e.” Kazuha says this accurately on the “Local Star K” show with Jonathan, when Sakura, Eunchae, and Kazuha guested. This is a common pronunciation mistake that Japanese people make a lot. It’s exactly like how Asians flip the “R’s” and “L’s” when speaking English. Sakura and Momo also makes these mistakes quite frequently.

@@yakovlo_bb True. But I think Korean also has more pronunciation sounds than Japanese does. So, Japanese people have trouble moving their mouths and tongue positioning when speaking Korean. I also noticed that Japanese uses a lot of *'eu'* sound. And so, instead of *'oo/ㅜ',* they say *'eu/ㅡ'.* And, instead of *'eo/ㅓ',* it becomes *'o/ㅗ'.* And of course, the *'ㅈ/jeu'* sound in Japanese is the *'z'.* So, they say Kazuha's Korean name '강주하/Ka*NG* *JOO*-ha' as '간즈하/Ka*N* *ZEU*-ha'.

Not really, when written as 픽닉(piknik) it is pronounced as pingnik, because of hangeul rules. So picnic is written as 피크닉(pikeunik) instead, to keep the "k" sound

I really like their dynamics and teamwork, and have never doubted that they actually care for each other, but I do think that they can be more considerate about this language proficiency difference thing. This stands for every multi-language groups out there with one major language tbh. Even teams known for their strong bonds like seventeen. Teams with strong bonds tend to feel comfortable making a joke out of it, too, but that's not the best thing to show the audience as multi-language, multi-culture groups. So it bugs me a bit every time i see it happening. My first language is Korean and I like situations where multiple languages are being used and it causes minor misunderstandings and jokes, so I search for these kind of compilations. But it often leaves me thinking 'It would have been better if they were more thoughtful about this.' Clips of wayv ends up being more comfortable, because they don't have a certain major language. It's a big mix of Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Korean, and some sprinkles of German and Thai. It does tends to get better as idols get older and more mature, though. They start to understand that this can be awkward and uncomfortable for the less proficient speaker of the group's common language. This has been on my mind for a long time, and I thought I might just write it out this time.
