I love the idea of the 600 c.c. engine with a turbo or supercharger. My Honda Coupe with 6oo c.c. engine and 4 speed engine transaxle, did fine up to 65 on California freeway with me and my buckets of electrician pension tools.

There great little trucks. We have 2 pick-ups & a microvan at my job. I'm in the market for one for personal use. Great little trucks for hauling goods around town. The soccer mom's have traded their mini vans for pick up trucks & still only haul rug rats & groceries.

Lol, fuxkin A. I can't believe people think these little toy trucks are actual real truck replacements. These were made for people that are half the size of American men in another country, and they also don't have much for laws over there about safety in motor vehicles.. Which is why they don't belong here. These things are like daily driving a model a or model t. Not good.

these trucks used to be illegal here, but im glad their are some states that get imports. when i moved from Japan to US, i had to do alot of research before moving, because America has alot of cars that Japan doesn't get. But that also applies to the US, we have cars in Japan that the US doesn't even know about. i had a culture shock, when i first saw how big American trucks are. but the Kei trucks aren't in California as that's where i first moved to in 2005, so i had to settle for a 1996 Toyota Hilux, which ironically, is one of the few trucks the US used to have, that we still get in Japan. this is Japans Tacoma today, as the American Tacoma is too big for Japanese roads. Suzuki and Isuzu make alot of fleet trucks like the old Kei.

@@PistonHonda87Seems to be the price for ones with off-road only titles/bill-of-sale-only vehicles. If you just need something for off road (farm or hunting use!), that's a fantastic deal. Or if you're in a state that's very permissive with OHVs, you can really get a bargain that way. Otherwise, you're shelling out 4-6k to import one and do all the paperwork correctly in order to have it be generally street legal.

Yeah.......try $8,000 to $12,000. Thats the VERY consistent price range I find all around me. No point in paying for a toy that only does 45 or 50 when i can find real trucks all day long in that range.
@JimmyNewCakes6 ай бұрын
$7-9 has been the new range I've been seeing since I imported mine, but it was that higher range you mentioned a year ago. Now, it's only the vans fetching for more than 10-and it has to be a particularly good one. 8 was too much for me, so I imported myself and the cost, including taxes, fees, and delivery all the way to my door was about $5000. At that price point, all the other trucks around me were hot garbage-either rusted through or in need of thousands of dollars of mechanical work. As much as I wanted an S10 or an older Ranger, it wasn't happening at that price. The model I picked out also does a little better at speed. I've peaked at around 75MPH, but it pretty much likes cruise around 62 MPH. A very steep hill or strong headwind will set you back to 45. It's a...humbling experience. It really isn't a truck for everyone. Some people need more speed, more cab space, more hauling capacity, trailer towing capability, or great ease of parts availability. As someone living in a city with only light hauling needs, this thing is about the most perfect truck I could ask for. I don't feel bad at all when it's just me driving, getting 31 MPG combined city and highway; I can pick up and move whatever oversized stuff I need or pick up heavy landscaping loads for projects; and it's got enough speed, clearance, and traction for me to cruise a state highway on the weekend and go have fun with some off-roading and camping.
