Junu San thank you so much for liking my videos. I hope my videos are useful. Regarding your question, I am not sure why they are taking those specific three verbs as special verbs. Every teacher has their own way of expressing and explaining things. Similarly, we have our own way of teaching. I think I have explained the way to categorize the second group verb in the video as well, if not then I have to say sorry. Let me explain it to you again. We have three basic rules to categorize the second group verbs for N5 level 1. All three letters verbs except きます。& します。 2. All verbs that have えsound before ます。(たべます、開けますetc) 3. 8 special verbs that sound like they are first group verbs but are listed as second group verbs あびます、おきます、おります、おちます、いきます、かります、 できます、たります。 Remember these three rules to categorize the second group verbs. I think you will not be in dilemma anymore.
