I'd like to know of you Japanese, what you think of our MG34/42. Would you prefered them over a Type 96/99 LMG? Best regards, a german

In my opinion, MG series are very powerful and remarkable. Especially Its fire rate and suppressing power are crazy. Ours have a great accuracy and are good for carrying around I think. From random Japanese

love that part from 2:13 to 2:18 where you see how many tracers the mg34 or 42 (whichever is fireing in that clip) can kick out. especially knowing that theyre one every 5 or 7 rounds that are actually fired. insane

@cliftonator The problem with the German diaspora, as with so many other diasporas, is that many of its members seem to be time logged with regards to their country of origin. They tend to have an idealised view of 'Germany', and to picture Germany in terms that have never really corresponded to everyday reality, whether good or bad. Germans do remember their fallen loved ones, but generally speaking are abhorred by the reasons for their demise.

@cliftonator Germany today is one of the most democratic countries in the world. It is a shining example of what a pieceful society can accomplish, without the use of military force, whithout imperialistic tendencies. The citizens of the Bundesrepublik can be proud of their achievements and their beautiful country. What's more they have come to grips with their past.

i was in the german army and learned how to shoot it from the hip. you dont fire it full auto but on burst fire. its only use is when the mg gunner is under fire and must fast move from his positon to give covering fire for himself most likely in urban combat. do you want to stick your head out of your cover when bursts of bullets are fired in your direction? from this mean machine? ;D It is not very accurate but enough to fill the air with bullets in the direction you want to. XD

Comparing Bush to Hitler may be understandable, in my opinion, but its a weak comparison. The US government has myriad checks and balances that keep any one president from too much power, Hitler wielded supreme power. Hitler had thousands murdered in cold blood in his own country prior to attacking another. Afganistan harbored the taliban and Al Qaida, which was responsible for actual attacks on the US. Hitlers Germany was the agressor, not the victim of agression. But point taken...
And thats not the only point. They had also to administer an oath on Adolf Hitler to follow his orders and protect him till the end. Not to forget that in these times it was the worst thing for a German to brake his oath...

your right but you cant judge any germans..may judge the guys who killed and orderd the killing of Civilisation or unarmed Prisoners of War..but dont talk bad about the proud brave soldiers of the Wehrmacht..They do their Job..follow the orders of their leaders...follow them into the Dead..and thats not stupid..they swear it with 1 hand on their heart so leave this brave guys alone..they fight and die for their country like the US and Japanese done it..or like your slowenish soldiers do it

There were german people who oposed the holocaust and war look at the White Rose(I'll tell you who they are if you need, but i think your quite knowlagable on the subject). There was resistance here and there, but what about police(not gestapo) who saw a random jew and beat him to death. Yes i beleive many soldiers would completely stop the war if they could, but that many would also fight for Hitler with there lives. but somewhere here we will probably have to agree to disagree.
@OPE0815 жыл бұрын
The UK and France declared war on Germany after Germany failed to withdraw its troops from Poland. Germany was given a chance to step back and NOT light the fuse of an insanely obvious powder keg, and they chose to continue on. I do not agree that the current war in Afganistan was poorly justified, however the war isn't really with the Nation of Afganistan. Hitler on the other hand created the circumstances that lead to the invasion of Poland...

Again, I'm not defending the attack on Iraq, but those evil men in caves in Afganistan helped execute an attack on US soil which cost thousands of lives. Germany wasn't even an actual country less than a century before WWI, so its hard to feel sorry for their loss of another countries territory. Poland was a well-defined territory during the Roman Empire. Americas dealings with the Barbary Pirates hardly excuses the Nazi Regime. Nor does the Spanish/American war. Thanks for the civil chat.
