Good effort. But felt very phobia throughout the video , with your baby near the stove & boiling water.

I have a cousin that was about your babies age that pulled boiling water over on her face. The scars are terrible. I would never let my child that close to boiling water. Please be careful.

So basically: Add salt, rub, wash, remove the hard parts, blanch for 2,5 minutes. Put in ice water. Make sauce of soysauce, sugar and wasabi, serve?

Greetings from Northern Uganda. Okra is one of the delicacies enjoyed by the Acholi people in Northern Uganda & southern Sudan. we cook it differently though.

Very cool! How do you guys cook it?

I do not think that the child should be around when cooking the okra. It seems dangerous to me for the child could drag the boiling water on her self especially when the chef is out of sight.

Thank you for this show. I love Okra and this is very similar to the one we cook in the Philippines where we quickly boil the washed Okras (between 3-5 minutes) then serve it as a side with steaming white Rice and a dipping (any soy sauce, a pinch of slicked or crushed Red or Green chilies and a few drizzle of lemon juice (optional). I just finished eating and now felt hungry again after watching this. YUMMM! :)

It’s actually really good for their development to play with food. At this age they constantly use their senses to learn about the world around them. It also makes them more comfortable around different foods and can help them become less picky eaters. There are reasons that kids want to touch everything and be messy, it helps them learn! Even the way she lets her kid “help” (or makes her feel like she’s helping) will teach her autonomy and life skills, which might make her more likely to be independent and help with chores in the future.
