I enjoy this channel for that reason. It’s fun to imagine someone doing this 3-4-5 hundreds years ago, and who might watch this years down the road from now. Plus, David is a joyful person and is surrounded by fun and interesting people as well.

The way David assures Ayano-san that she’ll get overtime and she casually tells him she’ll leave early and they both move on shows some great boss-employee relationship. Wish my boss was this chill

Dave is a special man, for sure. He is a rare type, and deserves the dedication and respect that every member of his staff always continues to display. Mokuhankan is at its own level!

I love how even after 30+ plus years, you can just see and feel Dave's love for the entire process of his craft. From papermaking to carving to printing and everything in-between. Thanks for documenting this and sharing it Dave.

Another thing that I always love about Dave is he always has that excitement of a kid on Christmas morning whenever he sees or participates in activities related to his passion for Woodblock printing. He really gives me the feeling that there will always be things to be admired and appreciated regardless of our age and the era we live in.

I loved watching this process. I do wish the captions were on all of the time. It was fascinating to hear when Ayano-San was speaking how her accent almost seemed to change. I haven’t been around the channel in a while so I don’t remember everyone’s backgrounds very well.
