I love that the hype started when the DQ theme started playing. Even if it wasn’t familiar to the majority of people outside Japan due to a combination of Enix's North America branch shutting down and Final Fantasy overshadowing DQ outside Japan, you gotta admit, many of our favorite RPGs would have been a lot different if it weren’t for DQ.

Personally, I'm already more excited about the Dragon Quest Hero in Smash than Banjo-Kazooie, because I didn't grow up with an N64 and Dragon Quest was my gateway into RPGs. But the sheer level of excitement from these players does even more when you put it into perspective. :) Despite enjoying the early Dragon Quest games, I haven't kept up with the series, and it's difficult to comprehend JUST how popular the Dragon Quest series has remained in Japan. It blasts Final Fantasy out of the water - just think about that. It's kind of amazing. :)

Spell List seen in trailer: Sizz Sizzle Zap Zapple Swoosh Snooze Oomph Bounce Psyche Up Zoom Kacrackle Slash Kamikaze Kaclang ---------------- *Final Smash: Kazapple* There may be some spells yet to be seen but are canonically used by the Hero in Dragon Quest 1) *Evac* Can be used similarly to Palutena's Teleport 2) *Bang/Boom* A spell that can be used similarly to Palutena's Explosive Flame 3) *Hocus Pocus* A weird spell that can do random things in battle...not sure how it would be implemented in Smash but I would leave the details to the DEV team. 4) *Heal/Midheal* Okay, there's NO WAY a straight-up heal spell would be added to the Hero's arsenal....but what if Heal is used with Hocus Pocus? Heal can either heal you or heal the enemy based on a coin flip luck. 5) *Absorb Spell* Essentially Ness/Lucas PK Magnet, Hero can absorb incoming energy-based projectiles and heal himself. 6) *Buff* A spell that temporarily raises the Hero's defence, reducing incoming damage.

Are we certain that the first two attacks are from the Sizz family? From it looks of it, they appeared to be actual fireballs, so they could be the Frizz family of spells. Just my two cents.

@@sirgogetter I think there is only Sizz and Sizzle. No sense to add both Frizz and Sizz together given they are both fire elemental spells. Also, DQ1 and 2 used SIZZ as the fire spell

Sizzle was also seen as one of the commands in the trailer, so it would seem odd for it to hold two special attacks. In any case, we will all know the real answer in due time.
